Transitioning from Vanilla to Play

The thread on Transition Lines is a good one.... but it is pretty much just focused on how to get the play started (assuming you are already in a space to do that). I have no trouble getting the play started if I'm in a place to do that (whether it be a club or at home).

The problem that I/we run into is when we are in a vanilla setting (be it a bar or at dinner). Whether it's a lack of chemistry and trying to transition to "uh, we gotta go"... or if there is chemistry and trying to transition to "hey you wanna go home with us?".

I think this might be one reason I prefer clubs/parties for meeting people, it just makes the whole process easier. It seems like the few times we've met people out in a vanilla setting we just get stuck in that setting.

I cant tell you how many times we went to meet new people, had a great time, but no one broached the subject of heading somewhere private..

Only to find out later, that everyone was ready.. ARRRGH!

If I am sure the Mrs is ready, I simply bring it up.. But if there isnt a clear idea of her "readiness" then its wait and see
