I guess since most clubs around here close during the summer, things are going diffrent a bit. Looks like everyone is more willing to acutally jump into the action during the darker times and then seem feed up a bit between December and June

I almost addressed this in my last post, but I figured it might take things a bit off topic... but since that's where you were thinking already... what the hey!

I have found that it's typical for a lot of clubs to close in the summer (if they don't close the attendance does typically go down quite a bit), and I don't think it's because people are swinging less but in different ways. It's summer so the weather is nicer and a lot of people head out ot nudist resorts (or swinger retreats) for their fun on the weekends, or those with boats are out on the boats... those with pools have the pools open for pool parties. All in all, I think most folks given those choices would rather take them than be stuck inside a hot club (and I'll be damned if I've found a club that knows how to properly work an AC unit in the summer).

We haven't been playing this game long enough for a true pattern to emerge, but I think we're less likely to swing in the winter. We'll probably do a Labor Day or Halloween party then be busy with other stuff till a New Year's Eve party, then lay low until March or April. I like the weather to be comfortable enough to go outside nude.

Pools and boats are rather uncommon here. 95% of the swinging happens in clubs.
Every now and then someone tries to start up a group for house parties during the summer, but while peole agree that the idea is great, nothing was really done in the past 2-5 years to really have a party.
Last year a friend tried to start something at a lokal lake, that is known as a fuck place for couples during the night.
But since it is so well known there are always a lot of creepy guys around in the hope to see some action, and who don't really take no as no, if they find a way into a larger group of people.
In the end all but 6 people opted out for that party, because they really feelt uncomfortable with people joining/watching that are not in the LS.

So aside form the 5% who either believe that personal ads are a good way to meet people or who are going to the famous swinging/nudist camp in France - swinging does come to a stand-still for two months.

Two months doesn't sound like a long down time from club swinging. As your blog shows. you don't stop just because the club scene is dead. Perhaps you should take the initiative and host a party or two during the summer months.

Hmmm . . . So far we haven't found more inclined to swing during any particular season, but winter does seem to be a better time for us, schedule-wise.

We prefer to play whenever we have the time to make it happen.


We tend to do more playing during the winter months.


As to the club action: Winter time is more active around here as well. People just seem to have too much going on in the summer with vacations, etc.
