Hi everyone out there we are up at the top of our USA in Alaska, we find it hard to find what we feel are some of the "right" thinking for swingers of all ages here in the North, what are some of the "right" outlooks to share with newbies that want to enter the life- style??

Twobears,

Hmmm... Having lived in Barrow myself, I think I understand your question, but I'm not sure. I don't think that there is a "right thinking for swingers" per say. Openness and honesty with yourself and your partner is always the key. That and a big dose of respect for your partner and their opinions and desires is always a key.

I am not sure I understand what you mean by "right thinking." Honesty is always the best way to approach things. What would "wrong thinking" be?

Please excuse me if I'm wrong... I'm too far south to actually know this but...

Didn't the Inuit people have a game called "Turn off the Lamp" where a bunch of people would go into a room and then turn all the lights off and scavange around for a partner to have sex with then and there....

I remember reading about it in college. As I recall there was mention that another custom was to let the wife sleep with solitary male guests of the house too.

To me Alaska sounds like a Swingers Paradise!

Sounds like a "Blackout" party

I'm not sure if I'm reading your question right either, but I would say that swinging is not just about sex... it is to a large degree a state of mind of understanding, open-mindedness and honesty.

Inuits had a very relaxed view of intimacy in their society. Who ever cuddled up to keep warm on a cold Alaska night was just fine. It was the White Man that changed that, I always felt that was sad long before I was aware of the swinging community.
