Static Swing

This term crossed my mind while reading a thread posted by a couple who felt like & was dissapointed that their swinging hadn't really evolved/grown from its early roots.

When the words crossed my mind it cracked me up (and I'm sure you can hear in your head why, if not say it out loud).

So have you ever experienced Static Swing? If so, what did you do to cure it?

When I first read this my mind saw 'static cling' and I thought...A dryer sheet or fabric softener should take care of the problem.


As far as 'Static Swing' ....I'm not sure if we've ever experienced it or not. I know we've had times that things were going slower than other times but it was mainly due to our schedules and just no time for playing.

I think if things aren't going the way you want it to in swinging, you have to take a look at the way you're going about it and change things.

You only get out of swinging what you are willing to put into it.

We're static at the moment because we don't have the time to put into it at the moment ... too many obligations. We see a light at the end of the tunnel, though -- and we had a fun experience Friday night. We were having dinner out, and we ran into some friends we've been trying to see for at least a month now ... they were having a vanilla night out, too. -- Just seeing them got us all excited about making plans in the near future! We're also fortunate that our play friends are understanding and don't take it personally or read more into the situation than what it really is (we're just too friggin' busy) when we just don't have the time to meet.

I've seen a few sparks fly..... It's difficult for me to imaging how swinging could get stale and boring for someone - there's just waaaaay too much variety to be had. If someone had such limited imagination that allowed swinging to become uneventful, just think how predictable their normal bedroom activities might be (now THAT'S the sad part).

I believe I might not want to play with someone that told me they were bored with swinging.
