Help needed with collecting accurate anonymous on-line research about swinging

I just took your survey and wish you good luck with your research. You mentioned that you have a special reason for doing this study. I don't think anyone asked, so I will. Will you tell us? Do I guess that your parents are/were swingers? Our daughter knows we swing. I could see her doing this type of research.

Well, to answer your question my parents did not swing. I have another immediate family member that does swing and feel that life is greatly fulfilled because of it. This has feed my curiousity. My spouse and I additionally are somewhat curious about this lifestyle ourselves. We have yet to venture out on that limb so to speak, but we are certainly eyeballing it.

As far as the idea that everyone is involved in swing clubs...I understand that everyone is not, that is why I'm trying to collect information that tells me how everybody meets up! Hopefully, this way I'll get a better idea about the demographics of the lifestyle.

Yes, we'd love to see the results. The last one Mrs. WS participated in (with Mindy Popplewell) we never did the get results of her survey or thesis as she had said we would, and in fact the University she graduated from wants to charge me to see them. To the say the least, we were more than a bit disappointed by this.

I have decided to make the final date that the suvey is online the 21st on April. It will no longer be online as of that morning. Following that date, I will be updating here as I begin looking at the data.

Then, when I have final results I will of course share those.

I have reached my goal thanks to the help of everyone here. Yea! I am leaving it online in case a few stragglers happen upon it as I know some emails have gone out regarding the survey. Some people wander over to things a few days after they get emails. I don't want people to go to the trouble of actually deciding to help me and then not finding an active link! I feel that this would be rude on my part.

Thank you for asking and keeping track Julie. My call for help has been answered with greater numbers than I ever could have imagined!

I just wanted to put in an update. For those of you that took the survey and entered in your information for the drawing, we now have a selected winner! A few days ago I sent a email to the winner for the $100 gift certificate and have yet to hear back from them, so please check your emails. I want to make sure that this gift goes out.

I will certainly find a way to get the results out. If it is by a link or simply a summary of the findings, whatever I can arrange. I am hoping to be able to publish some of it as well. (Let's get some positive info out there right?)

However, even things which I do not submit for publication I will be more than happy to inform this board of. This information belongs to everyone in my opinion.

Hello everyone,

I wanted to put in an update as I know everyone is anxious. I have not forgotten my promise to tell all!!!!

I have not been on as of late due to working furiously on this finishing this thesis and had some major life events going on.

I defend my thesis tomorrow (this is where I go before a committe and discuss findings etc.), and then I can have some time to go through this thing step by step with you all and talk about what I have found.

Sound good? I am excited to talk about the major findings with all you and see what you think.
