A swinging wife's trust level...

This is just too funny.

I just received the strangest phone call.

Me: Hello.

Her: Is Ted ________there?

Me: No, I'm his wife can I help you?

Her: He told me he was separated from you.

Me: Really? (hysterical laughter ensues from me

) That's funny, he was in my bed last night.

Her: Well he was in MY bed last week. I met him at Gekgo's and we went back to my place.

Me: (I'm still busting a gut, trying to compose myself

) Gekgo's really? That is interesting. What night did you meet him?

Her: Friday night and he gave me this number and told me to call him.

Me: Well, I don't know what to tell you. My Ted _________ was home with me Friday night. (I'm still laughing like crazy) I think you have the wrong Ted.

Her: Click.

Now I'm sure there are women that would have pitched a hissy fit and jumped all over their husband had they received a call like this. Myself...I found it utterly hilarious...the thought of Ted doing something like this without telling me is such a foreign concept that I just can't comprehend it. My trust in him is absolute.

I did call him and "try" to play the irate wife but it didn't work

...the giggles were giving me away

So...how would you have reacted if you had received a call like this?

Well, I wonder if Ted's impersonator wasn't some other jackass who happens to know his reputation and was looking for some kind of "John Doe" persona to give to this poor chick so she couldn't call him up at home and have HIS wife answer...the way you did! Oh man, too funny.

Does anyone have it in for Ted or something?

I find it funny since I have met Ted and am fairly certain that he isn't that stupid. I mean - if he WERE stupid enough to sleep around on his enviously open-minded wife, would he really give out his real name?

On a side note, as I can't answer for Mrs. Chicup though I can assume it would be the same as you, I never thought what evil a woman could do if she wanted to.

Find out when random guy was going out of town, call wife 2 weeks later, see the chaos that follows.

I will say that I do know of one other Ted in the area that has the same last name and it's spelled the same as our's ...he (the other Ted) is a public figure in the next county...I wonder if it was him
