Mixing Swinger & Straight Friends

Bear and I really do like to make friends first with the couples we play with; therefore they have a great deal in common with our straight friends. As it happens next weekend we are going to a convention and have adjoining rooms with a couple we play with. As well, there will be at least one, if not more, of our straight friends.

Now, as far as I can tell we are not pervy in public when around our playmates but I've never been in a mixed situation. Are we asking for trouble?

as long as the four of you are in aggreement about NOT being PERVY in public ... should be okay...

but no inside jokes or doing anything you wouldn't do in public with your regular straight friends...

We've often included our playmates in our party invitations. Of course, there have been a lot more straight people there. We've never had any problems, and noone has been the wiser.

You need to have prepared an answer to the question, "How and where did y'all meet?"

HAH I'll let y'all know Sunday, I'm doing two charity shows this month and the first is tomorrow night. We will have a ton of friends as well as playmates there. It could be interesting. Mrs Fun will have to do most of the juggling though. She will be in the crowd with all of em while I am making em deaf LOL.

that should be : Mixing Swinger & Vanilla Friends

Most of the males we share pleasures with are Straight Swingers.

We have monthly cookouts at our house and there may well be any combination of Swinger, Nudist, BDSM, Vanilla, CoWorkers, KIds friends parents, and families. The BBQ is a vanilla event and treated that way. And often the 'nillas ain't so 'nilla.

Ain't that the way?? We were at a party with my very 'nilla co-workers and were shocked....their behavior was more risque than I've seen at some dances with us "swirls"! LOL

The talk was very risque but it was just that, all talk no action. Damn!

As to the original question, there shouldn't be any problem. Just think about what your doing incase there is some "pervy" behaviour. And definitely refrain from inside jokes. That is a great way to get someone to pay more attention and possibly pick up something.

As Vjklander said, it is a vanilla event and your natural reaction will be to behave as you do at any vanilla function.

Thanks for all your feedback. No doubt we are all grown ups and can behave. As far as it being a vanilla event, it is a sci-fi writers con, so it may not be as vanilla as an outing to the zoo. The only reason these people get together is because they will finally be around others who get their inside jokes.

The hard part is going to be coming up with a "how we met." Afterall, you don't go a con with just anybody.

As was said sometimes those supposed to be straight aren't. And sometimes they just need that little inside joke to lead them on the way. Could be a golden opportunity

Our swinger friends invited us to a party a few weeks ago along with several of their Non-swinger friends and it seemed to go well until the hostess had too much to drink and became overly friendly with me and had to call and apologize for her behavior. Had it been an all swinger party, there would have been no need to cover it up, but if you want to be in control, don't drink too much or your natural libidinous tendencies may come out when it isn't a good time for them to.

Recently my wife Gratuated from Nursing school. At the after graduation dinner we invited our best local friends, our best friends in the lifestyle had recently moved, or they would have of course been invited as well, any way there were lots of straight family and friends there. My wife's mother happened to ask me how we had met the couple that were there...and without thinking...i said the internet as we've known them quite a long time, and had in fact met them in an MIRC channel we used to frequent. As it turns out, that started a fairly short chain of events that led to my wifes parents asking her a couple of days later, if we we swingers. While mortified, she told them that we were, and after a little religious zelotry, they haven't brought it up again. My take on it was they should have been prepared for the answer, if they are willing to ask the question.

Of course we all know that the internet is really only for sex (and shopping), so of course her mother guessed. If that is the case, then I am real trouble. I met most of my straight friends that I travel with on the internet as well as Bear.

my wife is 25, her parents , while "not with it" certainly aren't unaware of what swinging is....having been young, not they are old, but young in the 70's
i'm quite sure they know what swinging is...without ever having done it...although her dad would be with it in a heartbeat i think
