First time at a club last Saturday

Last Saturday we went to our first club, Couples Choice, and had a good time. We're married 9 years and never been with anyone else (sans a little exploration on my wife's side, other thread), so this was a very new experience for us.

The first 10 minutes were a little difficult for me. I had to put away the initial defensive mentality that comes with a vanilla club. The best medicine was scanning the crowd and realizing the diversity in the crowd. The only commonality was the age group being 40's +/- 10 years. Beyond, that I saw someone from every walk of life. It really was like going to the grocery store turned into a club but with porn on the TV's instead of sports.

My wife and I are a little shy, so we mostly sat and people watched. We really enjoyed the atmosphere. I'd say the best part, unlike a normal club, is that everyone seemed very nice. There were no pushy advances by people we didn't want to make advances.

Toward the end of the evening, we did talk to a nice couple that we'd noticed earlier in the evening. They were both attractive and closer to our age than the rest of the crowd. We hung around with them and watched some of the action upstairs.

BTW, watching other people having sex was, for me, very close to a strip club. It wasn't nearly as odd as I'd thought. In fact, it felt very normal.

Eventually, they asked if we'd like to play and my wife politely refused. They'd been in the lifestyle for a year and were very nice and understanding. We're not quite ready to move beyond each other. This was our first(or second) toe in the water.

My wife and I then stepped away to go have some fun of our own in one of the beds. It was quite a turn on. There was a couple having sex to our right, in another mattress, and a quad on our left. I had trouble not popping every time I put it in, but other than that, it was a fun experience. However, we weren't really sure what to do with "cleanup" in a common area.

After that, we freshened ourselves up and took off. It was way past our bedtime, and I don't drive so well at night.

My wife loved it and can't wait to go again. I think the atmosphere made all the difference in the world. It was like a friendly, non-competitive, average club...with porn on the TV's.

If we have any regrets, it's that we didn't spend as much time watching and being watched. We would have liked to watch the other couple if they were game for it. My wife was also very interested in the quad to our left, but we were dirty and wanted to clean up. There was also a room for oral play that we would have loved to stop in and see, but alas, we forgot in the excitement.

We are loosely planing to go again in May.

Congrats on the first club experience! Sounds like it was a winner all the way around, minus a step or two at first Yeah, the defensiveness can be dropped. That doesn't mean you go stupid and not watch out for idiots, but there's a very different environment at a swing club compared to a vanilla.

That sounds very similar to our entry into swinging. We hit a club, had fun dancing in the sex charged atmosphere and then had fun, just us, in the group room. It took a few visits before we had the opportunity (and accepted) to play with another couple.

Take your time, communicate and go with the flow and your comfort level.

We really enjoyed couples choice when we went. It's clean and the people seem nice!

So who owns CC's these days?

The OLD owners were great and sold a few years ago to a new couple. That couple from what I've been told (2nd hand) got a divorce. Its been a few years since we have gone.

On our way out, we met the owner and his friend. I think his name was Sean? He had short, curly blonde hair. He seemed to be nice guy. He asked if we had a nice time and told us about upcoming events. He had some suggestions as we were one of the younger couples in the crowd.

I THINK thats a new guy then. When we first went it was a crowd we were semi-close to in ages and typical swingers, then when it was sold the new owner started to advertise directly in 'urban' magazines and we felt more like we were in the famous bar scene from Animal house.

We went to Couples Choice in mid March and it was our first time going to a swingers club. We didn't know what to expect. Once we got there, we had a tour of place. The lady who gave us the tour was very helpful and asked all of our questions and concerns. Once we were done with the tour, we got our drinks and sat down. We noticed right off the bat that the club is very clean and from what we remember, the crowds ages were some where between 30 and the late 50s. After a few minutes of sitting, we had three couples come up to chat with us. Of those three couples, we had interest in one of them so we continued to chat with them. We eventually end up having soft swap with them, which was perfectly fine with us since we were new to all this. We end up having a really great time and are going again on May 29 for our second time. We are really looking forward to it and hope to meet another couple. BTW, I believe the new owners name is Tim. I am guessing he is in his mid to late 50s. He sat and chatted with us for a bit. He seemed like a really nice guy and enjoyed owning the place. I can't remember his wifes name. I know she greeted us when we first got into the place. Anyways glad to see others have enjoyed Couples Choice as much as we did.

Sounds like a successful first venture! Very similar to ours. We wanted to go and just experience the sexy vibe and meet like minded people. The best part about not experiencing everything on the first night is that you have something to look forward to. Take it all at your speed and have fun!

I was going to suggest you do a review of the club in the Clubs section of the board, but, it appears they have never submitted their club to the board for inclusion.

If either of you have communication with the owners, encourage them to add their club to the board's list.
