Our First Time!

I apologize in advance for the length of this post, but so many of the beginner stories here encouraged me that I thought I'd share ours. I've been silently cruising this sight for about three years now ever since I first became curious about the idea of including others in our sex lives. I didn't know exactly what I wanted, and reading about the experiences of others as well as learning from the sage perspectives of many of you on this board helped me to refine my fantasies and to realize that my desires were not totally abnormal (My wife and I were brought up in a strict and repressive x-ian fundamentalist culture and have never been with anyone else sexually--a fact that neither or us regrets). Anyway, after three years of gradually working through the shame and approaching the topic one timid revelation at a time with Jill, we decided to post a profile on a website and explore our feelings about it. After a few weeks, we were in contact with a promising couple and met the male for dinner. The female was out of town (we were very careful about making sure she existed, btw). This weekend, we met them both, went together to a really nice lifestyle club, where we took some time to warm up. We were both pretty nervous. They are a full-swap couple with a few years of experience, and we've decided that for now at least, we are not full-swap. After a few drinks and some dancing, we got into the hot tub, where things really took off (I'll spare you the details). The club was crowded and a little chaotic, so we returned to the hotel and had a fantastic time. We were amazed to find that neither of us felt any jealousy at all, which truly surpised me. We've both had semi-permanent smiles ever since, and the sex with each other in the last two days has been the best of our almost ten years of marriage. More wonderful than anything, though, has been the impact on our relationship. I wonder if we've ever been as honest and patient and forgiving toward each other as we have been the last month or so. We decided prior to doing this that we were giving ourselves and each other the oportunity to make a mistake, that we'd see how we felt afterward, and we were prepared for the worst. I watched my wife 69 another man and felt nothing but a kind of warmth and joy (ok, and the other woman's naughty bits). It was a beautiful experience, and I thank everyone on this site for unknowingly expediting it. I don't know where we'll go from here, but this definitely won't be our last adventure.

Oh wow! Sounds like you had a great time. Yeah, the sex you have as a couple is certainly hot! But I agree, the positive aspects to your relationship are the best. I'm happy for you both.

Hi Jack&Jill,
You mentioned that you two were brought up Xian. I was wondering where you are in relation to Jesus now? Since you have been reading for quite a while, I suspect you have read the swinging and religious threads. I'm a Christian so am curious about where you are with the Bible and swinging. You many have read that I went thru a 2 year study of the Bible and felt swing the the Bible aren't in conflict.

dayhiker, neither of us would consider ourselves believers any longer, though that had nothing to do with swinging and more to do with education and our own changing convictions. I agree with you, though, that swinging and Christianity aren't necessarily mutually exclusive. Of course, neither are Christianity and charity of spirit, but you'd never know that by listening to some of them.
