I think there are a lot more people who call themselves swingers then there are people who actually are swingers. So in "the wild" the bad ones can form bad impressions, but the people on this site tend to be real, and very insightful. I'm not sure if they're representive of the whole community (I say "they" and not "we" because I'm basically a lurker here) but I can find intelligent discussion and thoughtful answers to just about every question I have imagined, somewhere in the archives, by the members here.

I'm not sure what draws them, but the community of folks on this site seem to be top-notch, high calibre people whom I respect. (Even when I disagree with them.) I still hesitate to believe all "swingers" in real life are like those we find here, but I wish they were.

The way I feel after this experience (that overall was completely hawt) is that I have grown, and learned - and have a deeper understanding of my marriage, and the way i love and give love to others. We're looking forward to contiuing our search for the holy grail

It's a good observation, and one that I'd agree with. And that growth is more than just a nice side-effect from swinging. Some would argue that personal growth and the deepening of the marriage bond are the entire point of the lifestyle. Maybe it just starts out as being about sex, but there's no denying that you need to expand your mind to do it without being hurt.
