What's the best way to find other couples to swing with?

My husband and i are new to this and are 100 percent sure hat we want to do this, but....

We dont know how to get started. Were not sure how to find other couples!!
Does any one have advice for us on where to start?
Please help a couple of newbies!HELP

I believe the best way to meet people is to know what kind of people you want to meet then find out where they congregate. You want to start swinging, so the best place by far to meet other couples would be an off-premises club. You can see them face to face, talk to them, and get a feel for what they are looking for without worrying about things going to far too fast.

Ads are ok and parties are almost impossible to find until you know someone.

So far the only way we've met new friends is on the net...there are NO parties/clubs/etc near us, so we screen potential playmates online, then chat for awhile, then usually meet for dinner only and see if there's any chemistry

being where you are since joining,,,,well, we have had one fun get together ,,,,,,,,we have opted to hang on the board,,,,,meet follks at meet and greets,,,,not necessarily for play,,,,but to learn and get comfortable

we have chosen to take it slow, keep our eyes and ears open and learn all of the pitfalls,,,,,,,and talk everything everyway through with each other first

I can tell you, in our MFM encounter this past month, that approach served us very well and we feel it was because we have spent the time talking, learning, meeting like minded folks, that it went so well and we had such a good time.

there are MANY, first time disasters located in the Help section,,,we feel lucky to have had a blast the first time out.

we're still talking, and still learning, and looking forward to more play

You can find couples on the 'Net, but sifting through all the flotsam can sometimes be a ball-breaking process. A club or a party dedicated to swinging might make for a surer bet.
