Where do you typically meet people?

I ran across this in one of my Mother-In-Laws many magazines that I am given the glorious opportunity to read when sitting there.

This was a poll done by People magazine, I'm not sure what the subscription base is, but the results were very intresting.

February 24, 2003 issue

Article, Love, Sex and Dating.

Where do you typically meet people?

Accidental meetings Women 20% Men 23%
Bars/Nightclubs Women 15% Men 27%

I personally fall in the through co-workers catagory since we met through the job I had at the time.

Which catagory do the rest of you fall in?

i work in real estate, so i meet lots of people every day. i dont let my private life tho, cross over into my business. i assume the question was about people who might have my interests? if so, i meet them at bars, nightclubs, or just nightspots. i have met them at places where swing people frequent. ive met them at sex clubs. ive even met them on the beach, walking their dogs. potential partners are different. i usually meet them at private house parties, or through mutual swing acquaintances.

I would say me and the wife meet people from our work (non swinger related friends that is) we both have the opportunity to meet a lot of people that way. And it’s a lot safer then a bar or strange club.

I don't know wither it would be school or the neighborhood we grew up in. If it was school i would say middle school.

most of the people we know now we met either through friends or work . i've only met one person from being online and she turned out to be so far the greatest friend i've made.

We definitely meet people through work.... Since my husband and I used to work for the same company... We know a great deal of the same people.... Most of his close friends are friends that he grew up with through-out school though.

The town I live in is basically a retirement village. Over half the population is in their 60s, the rest takes care of them. When I do meet someone, its usually when I'm doing something else.

We met thru work. Both of us were in the Army.

Now 3 teenagers and both of us combat veterans, what you wanna do?

Well, I guess we're part of the 6% that meet online. I thought, for some reason, that it would be a higher percentage that 6% though.

I meet alot of people through my work, and school. Also thorugh my kids activities.

Seems lately I've been meeting people here. Not face to face but post to post.

Oh, and I'm liking it too.

Maybe face to face is just around the corner.
