which website is best to meet people

My wife and I are from the central ohio area and have only had 1 mfm experience thus far. We hooked up on swappernet.

We have been to 104 and had a great time but, it seems that 104 doesn't get going good until very late at night.

Once the party is gonig great we have to go home to releive the babysitter.

So our question is are there any other sites, methods or bars within the columbus ohio area that anyone could recommend?

Just a little about us:
-We are both clean, professionally employed and have kids.
-We can get out about once every 2 weeks all night.
-We are yawning and ready to go home if nothing is going on by 9pm.

PS: Don't want this to sound like an ad, but we are struggling with this. If there is no saving us then let us know. ;-)

104 does tend to take off a bit slow - nothing is happening by 9 unless people have it planned in advance. Honestly, nothing seems to be moving before 10 - and usually things happen after the pizza gets there. Pizza seems to "ring the bell" for sex, I think.

It's hard to meet and get to know the right person within an hour of the doors open. Most people haven't even loosened up yet.

The way that may work for you guys is trying Swing Lifestyle. Swapper isn't bad and is fairly well populated with Ohio folk, but I've found Swing Lifestyle to be easier to navigate and little more active. But - if you go the internet route - it does take a lot of time. It is easily the more frustrating of your options.

Either way you go, though, the lifestyle requires a lot of patience.

That's been our experience with 104 as well. Things just don't get going until later in the evening. It must be frustrating about the babysitter. Maybe you can find one that will let you stay out later?

Swing Lifestyle is a good site and it wouldn't hurt to sign up there too. Double your coverage and see what happens.

Dito about Swing Lifestyle, it works best for us too. I can't speak for the clubs in Ohio as I've never been there yet, but we have gone to a few clubs and I think it is pretty standard that it doesn't get going until 11 or later.

Coincidentaly, that is about the time the pizza arrives at our favorite club too.

As others have said, Swing Lifestyle is probably the best all-around swingers web site on the Internet. It has a steady influx of new members, and even non-paying members have enough functionality to be able to accoplish something. Also, out of all the swinger sites we have tried, we have had our best luck in meeting people through swinglifestyle.com.

There are others, like couplestouch.com and adultfriendfinder.com, that we have used. However, in those cases the sites are a lot more pricey, and once your "paid membership" runs out, you are pretty much dead in the water in terms of usefulness.

Also, couplestouch is more of a "young and pretty people" site, which for us "old geezers" (as I saw anyone over the age of forty referred to by one of these recently) is rather limiting.

As for AFF, while they call themselves a "sexy singles and swingers" site, there are not all that many serious swingers there to choose from, so unless you are really just beating the bushes for a single to play with, your choices are rather limited also.

This is not to say neither of the latter two sites are worth the trouble completely. But what we do is sign up on CT and/or AFF for just a month's membership once or twice a year, check out any potential newbies who might have joined those sites since our last pass-through, then let the memberships lapse. This is because if there is anyone you are apt to be interested in on those sites, you will have found them within a month's time, and after that there's no point in wasting your money beyond that point.

As for any other sites you may run across, don't waste your money. We've checked them all out at one time or another and their membership bases are too small to bother with.

Hello all and thanks for the warm welcome and responses. It is very tough as a newbie to sort through all of the fluff on the web. If there is anyone here who is from ohio and is interested in meeting a good looking mixed couple please let us know.

We work a lot so our social lives tend to suffer a bit.

Is it me or is there some connection between pizza and the lifestyle? ;-)

I am new to the swinging scene and in the searching stages myself. I hear the best swingers site accepts donations only and something about 8 members have to approve you befor your membership is accepted. This site is good for posting photos and can do it for free.

We are members of Swing Lifestyle, Swappernet, and Swingular. Recently it seems Swingular has been the better of the three for us, but it may just be that the founder of the site lives in Utah (go figure) so there are allot of Utahn's signed-up there.

There are some aspects of Swingular I don't like however, mostly their forums, which seem to be mostly people posting pictures of their equipment. I guess there's a plae for that, but after you've spent anytime here on the Swingers Board it is hard to get into that kind of a forum.

We started on AFF a couple of years ago but quit paying for it because it seems to be a clearinghouse for everybody... and not many qualified prospects. Recently we completely removed our profile from it.

as for the clubs starting so late! I'd much rather have a club start early and the action going by 9pm. That would include dance clubs as well. The wife and I only get to dance places once in a while. But often they start about the time we are getting tired! I think some clubs could have a goldie oldie dance at about 7pm and then transition to a younger crowd between 10 and 11! But I've never seen that! That might be harder to do in a swing club than a dance club tho.

Can't provide any advice on the clubs or on the sites, but I do have a suggestion for your sitter.

I used to babysit for a couple very regularly and there were a few times when they knew that they were going to be out late so they had me stay the night in their guest room. I have no idea if they were swingers, but I do wonder... But really, if you are comfortable enough with your babysitter and she/he is ok with it (and the parents too) then this might be a possible solution for you.
