"…showers as foreplay and no potty mouths"

I might be making a bit much out of this, but maybe I need a few folks to tell me I'm nuts or I'm not.

We recently reregistered on Swing Lifestyle because we're thinking of looking into things again. Our situation at the YC is changing and we are planning on getting back to our "old" lives. We got an e-mail: like your profile, check ours out, etc.

I (Mr. Botcpl) check out their profile and get this long list of do's and don'ts. One of the items is "…showers as foreplay and no potty mouths". I understand when people don't want "water games or golden showers" and we're not into that either, but I took it as "…don't tell us to clean up…" I just got really grossed out! I didn't even show it to Ms. Botcpl. I just replyed it was too far to drive, but thanks a lot.

The "potty mouth" thing I just blew off, because I/we don't say things to give others a thrill, but I am a sailor and people do say things in the excitement of the moment (but I'm not usually that way in bed), but after you've been in a hot tub with gallons of chlorine, is it impolite to say, "let's get cleaned up". I don't necessarily mean lets get cleaned up together (but you know, if it works…), but, I like to take a shower before we go out for dinner with friends.

Don't get me wrong, I am a sailor and I am used to being in the same clothes for three or four days and "hot bunking" (it's NOT a sexual thing), but it feels so good to get clean.

I've got an interesting story about a race to Mexico and that first shower, but that is for another time after a couple of beers.

Am I making too much of this?

I'm confused. Are you saying their profile indicated that it was required to shower before playing?

Well, I certainly would ask you to get cleaned up after a hot tub with gallons of chlorine, and I would clean up too. But for me, it is an allergy thing, lol.

"Potty mouth" is something I would expect to hear a 1st grade teacher say to her students. Rather condescending to say to adults, I think.

Frankly kind of odd to see it in print. I guess if I had an issue with foul language and felt the need to forewarn others I would find a more adult way to say it.

Hmm . . . the way I read that was that they want you to shower before hand, and they dislike foul language (which is what I'd say to another adult).

Personally, I have no problems with showering before sex, and am typically not graphic/profane anyway. I have a little girl voice and it just sounds silly coming out of my mouth . . . (shrugs)

If you are saying they do not shower, I would be grossed out too.

I on the other hand, do take a shower before and after I play. I like to be clean before a play date, and I like to shower after as well. Usually I work up a sweat and after all the sex, I like to be clean.

I would say you are OK in that a shower is fine and a good thing.

I think you're making way too much out of what they wrote.

We've noticed that sooo many people write things in their profile that was from day one, and many times they even forgot that they wrote certain things because they've loosened up over time.

Perhaps they should have limited their verbiage to simply "good hygiene a must."

You really wouldn't know if you'll hit it off until you meet face to face, perhaps over a few drinks first, and if there's chemistry you can go fornicate (as to avoid a 4 letter profanity verb).

Most importantly, are you and yours attracted to their looks, and how they speak during phone conversation? That's much more important than any one or two liners in their profile that could be misconstrued.

Look for some folks they need a play partner to be "FRESH" so showering is required..

But I took it to mean that, jumping in the shower.. ISN’T FOREPLAY.. meaning, no jumping from the shower to screwing in 60 seconds... THEY WANT FOREPLAY.. But aren’t into dirty talk.. ( OK, but I feel kind of funny asking someone to "kiss my pee pee" or "I like your hiney" when there are far more DESCRIPTIVE phrases that cum to mind )

I have the impression "showers as foreplay" meant showers must be taken before playing. I certainly like being clean but obsessions put me off.

I remember a time when we were having dinner with a prospective couple we'd met through a swingers bulletin board in an adult toy store. She was a nurse.

During before-dinner drinks, she pulled a tongue compressor out of her handbag, turned to me and said, "Open wide and say 'Ahhhh'." I did as she asked and treated the whole thing as a joke but gave Mrs. Alura the "No" signal when it was convenient. I would never have been able to relax with the woman. Conveniently, Mrs. Alura thought the husband was a bore so our decision was mutual.
