I think swingers date club has Bogus profiles

Hi all,

Been a day or two since I have been on the board. For those who know me, I have been "world traveling" again with limited access to the site.

In March I made a profile on swingers date club. I am not new to the Lifestyle, so I know that free members have limited abilities (I am a lifer on Swing Lifestyle and Swingular). I recall when I made the account that things seemed "fishy" and I forgot all about the site for a few months.

Friends of mine just gave it rave reviews, so I decided to upload pics and look into becoming a lifer there as well. While looking around in the last couple days, I get the feeling that the photos of the couples and singles are TOO PERFECT!

It seems like all the couples in Miami have a pro photographer and every wife in Miami resembles a model.

Are you on swingers date club? What are your thoughts?

Yes, yes they do.

I figured that one out years ago. Very attractive people just a bit too far to contact always had interest in us whenever our subscription was running out.

Geez, I travel an obscene amount of the time so I wonder if they will try that trick with me! At any moment I could be just a town away from this "bogus" couple and call them on their bluff!

We went on a swinger cruise a couple years ago with quite a few couples from the South Florida area. We were surprised how many Ken & Barbies there were. Lots of boob jobs and tans.

That being said, it still wouldn't surprise me if the site has enhanced the number of ads in that area with some additional teaser ads.

Most sites have bogus profiles, and when ever your subscription runs out they suddenly start contacting you and you have no way to contact them unless you anty up some coin and re-join..
The same goes for free site members, at almost all the swinger site. Its amazing the amount of so called "winks" and "Want to meet you" messages we have recieved at sites that limit contact of free members to nothing and once you pony up the coin, you are unable to re-locate these persons who sent you countless winks, and messages.
As I've stated before we have had the most luck on kijiji before they went all moral and limit what you can post. Even swinglifestyle has been a major bust as people who live down the street from us are listed as 80 miles away yet we have the same city lol.

That is why we will take our chances with the free sites and the crappy just starting out sites and attending club events, before we spend money on the ole bait and switch

Call me crazy.....

I prefer meeting REAL people. Couples that in their eyes could lose 10 pounds or were at their "fighting weights" a few months ago......


I guess I am just old fashioned and like the buffet line once in a while and dont need someone to remind me I skipped a work out.

REAL people are my interest, not Barbies with boob jobs and spray on tans.


Am I off my mark?

Yes.

The more I've gotten myself in shape over the last year the more my jealousy over the perfect body type of people have switched to appreciation and admiration.

It takes WORK for most people to be in shape. Hard work and discipline. When I see a guy older than I am in better shape I think 'What do I need to do to look like that.'

Outside of the fake profiles, everyone involved is a real person, and I've been around the block long enough on both ends of the body type to know that when someone says they prefer 'real people' they are in fact projecting their own insecurity and fear of rejection on the topic. If they knew the '10' really wanted them, they would suddenly find those fake people were not so bad. Added when I see it from single males, I often think they are trying to just ingratiate themselves with couples, trying to say the right thing to be accepted out of a sea of single males.

So people get a hostile attitude as a defense mechanism. No one likes to be rejected on looks so you avoid it by not putting yourself in a position to be rejected.

I realized this when I was in what I delicately refer to as my 'fat ass' stage. Most of the very attractive couples seemed cold and aloof but for the very same reasons we would be if approached by a couple we did not find attractive. Its easier NOT to talk to someone than reject them later.

I want to be Ken (well Ken with a penis), and its not even about swinging. Being healthy and fit is actually more fun than being a slob. I want to live as well as I can for as long as I can. I plan on seeing my grandchildren. Fat me would have had a far harder time, fat me almost drown because I ran out of energy in a heavy current, fat me had very high cholesterol. Current me is skinny, strong, and better looking than I was at the fat me stage 7 years ago. Current me is still real too, and if I get a spray tan I'll still be real after.

I have to agree that many of the sites do use some form of bogusness... whether it's the sudden surge of "new couples in your area" or "so and so wants to meet you" which I get tons of from various sites I've tried out and left without a mention here, or the AFF style tons of exactly what you are looking for, looking like they were shot by pro photographers right down the street. If it looks to good to be true, it probably is.

We are on swingers date club and live in SoFla...so yes there is a very large percentage of very nice looking and attractive couples. Many take the time to photograph themselves "professionally".

Personally - we have found swingers date club to be very "real" and by far the best source of meets, etc. We have only been on there for less than a year but I would not make the assumption that good looking = fake. BTW - if you wonder about "the pretty people" - check out LifeStyle Lounge and California in particular - they make "Ken & Barbie" look like Shrek. Great site but not a very good SoFla representation.

We are just average and seem to do fine...but I think Chicup said it very well. It takes a lot of work and discipline but being healthy is great. We are still working out (P90x - round 2) and I will be one of those "great and in shape..." 45 year olds and my wife will remain the beauty she is today

Firstly let me say, hello.....we've dropped off the face of the planet too. Sadly, it happens.

Living in SoFL, Miami specifically, there is a large crowd of very attractive people. The culture here puts a large emphasis on looking good, especially in the areas around the beaches. It's prevalent everywhere to a point where putting on a good facade is more important than being a good person. Unfortunately (most of) the people here are also very rude and unfriendly. Take a short drive from MIA to your hotel and this is clearly demonstrated!

We've heard that the people up north (Ft. Lauderdale)are nicer, more friendly, and that the LS scene is different that what is found in this city but we've no first hand experience.

Sheesh...I digress! We were members of swingers date club and yes, it did seem as though many wives looked like models and the photos were professional in nature. We didn't usually pay much attention to those (preferring photos that were obviously taken by digital camera) because we were privatley thinking, "If it looks too pretty to be true, it probably isn't."

Anway, that's my two cents on the matter.
