My wife and I have spent some time on CL and some other sites, but have had little or no luck finding other people who think the way we do. Does anyone have any advice on the best way to find other people to play with? This is, of course, bearing in mind that most of the swingers groups in our general geographical area are oriented to people significantly older than us. We are 22 and 24, while most of the groups around us are geared to the 40+ crowd.

Given those demographics it's a bit limiting as there will be many couples you just find look/act too old, and from the older couple's point of view you might be close to their kid's age. We've never been approached by a couple as you as you, so I can't say what we would really do if approached. We would probablu think..are you really sure? Swing Lifestyle does have a group section that lists parties/meet & greets where you may find couples close to your age range. You might also look into regional/national swing events, Playcate in Myrtle Beach, Entice in Niagara Falls, events in Vegas. If budget conscious perhaps a trip to a larger city with a reasonable drive with a swing club..Atlanta, Washington, Baltimore, Richmond(?). I'm just tossing out some larger cities, but perhaps there are clubs even closer to you. |

So, you two are definitely on the younger side of the swinger scene but you are not alone. While it may be harder for you to find connections I would encourage you to not give up as there are others in your age range. At 22 and 24, you are going to find it difficult to find couples that you most likely are going to want to hang out with on more than a play date. I'm not sure what your situation is like but even if you broaden your search to couples in their lower thirties, they are most likely deep into their careers already, have kids or are considering starting a family and have moved out of the partying stage. I'm not trying to stereotype you but most of the people we know in their younger 20's have rarely been hit in the face by life yet ![]() Again, not trying to discourage you but just saying that you are most likely going to have to broaden your search criteria to include early thirties with the understanding that they are just playmates or realize that you may not be able to play as often as you like. I think that more and more younger couples are finding there way into the lifestyle as they are a lot more open minded about things but the vast majority of people seem to be from 34 - 46 in our area. I wish you two the best of luck. |

22 and 24 is about when we started and we ran into the same problem with finding people. The groups we ended up being involved with were mostly early 30's and mid 40's. I know I've said it several times on here before, but meet and greets are a good place to meet and get to know people as that was where we met these people. The most important thing to remember is that you don't have to play with everybody. Our favorite group to hang out with consisted of couples in their early to mid 40's. While they were great people and we became really good friends with them, we never played with them. |

Best way we have come across is simply going to clubs. reason being, if they are at a club they are: 1. serious about swinging 2 seriously looking into swinging 3 want to meet other like minded couples swingsites are ok but it can be very frustrating and time consuming, you can meet prople there, but you have to be very patient. most people in the sites are seriously interested, but not necessarily ready to get together. |

Not much to add to the above advice, but did want to point you toward a recent blog post on Gentle Nibbles that discussed this very topic: http://tinyurl.com/yb2mcz3 Also, you don't say whether you have an online profile. If not, try Swing Lifestyle or another one and search around. We are seeing more and more 20'somethings popping up. Good luck! |
