How did you set your age range?

For those that belong to sites that allow you to set an age range, I'm curious how did come up with your range? I see some profiles where people's ranges are no older than themselves; others a wider range. And then you see ranges with just shades of differences..48 is the olders, 49, 50.....

Currently our age range is for couples 26 to 58. We are M (50) and F(48). I really don't expect to get takers that young, but I figured why exclude anyone that may be interested. Our son is 23 so that sort of sets the lower bar for us. The upper limit was sort of set as we have met some great playmates in their mid to upper 50s. But our sweet spot seems to be 35 up to our own ages.

When we first put a profile up at Swing Lifestyle, we displayed 18 to 99. We also got a few of these "I really like old women" messages. There was a conscious decision to no longer torture the 18 to 35 crown with the disquieting mental image of having sex with their parents.

We now have 98 as a maximum. The initial impulse was to enter 99. But we learned that some of the "search" features will include the idiots who enter ninety-nine or zero for their age. I don't really think I would enjoy sex with a ninety-eight-year-old woman but I just don't know where else draw the line.

Well, we are 51 & 53. Based upon being at several clubs, I really felt that we didn't click with anyone under 40, and figured 65 was high enough to not limit our strike zone.

We are 49 & 50 and we have children in their late 20's. We met with a couple of younger gentlemen and for the misses it just didn't feel right. When we discussed them she said it would be like having sex with one of our son's friends. We do not exclude younger men but do not seek them out either. If someone contacts us we consider them based on the initial message. For the most part we try to keep it in the age group of 35 to 55.

For us we actually have different ranges for MrsVan and myself. She really isn't comfortable with guys that are older than 50 as it gets too close to her Dads age and while I think our younger age bracket is 21ish, they would have to be very mature for their age for us to feel much chemistry with them.

For me, I really don't have much of an age limit, just depends on the lady and how we get along. Young or old I wouldn't just say no based on her age.

Like most we have found that our sweet spot seems to be late 20s to mid 40s range.

Female half is more into men 30-50 and male half is more into women 21 - 45. So we thought that 21-50 was a good age range to put up.

Our ages are 42 and 45. We set our age ranges for what we are most comfortable with. The low end we have set at 30 because below that it is getting too close to our daughters age, and we wonder if there will be too big of a maturity difference. For the top end we set it at 50. This has more to do with Bunny's preferences and comfort. If the guy looks too old for her she is not interested. In reality both age limits are flexible depending on the couple. Some young couples are very mature and some older ones are very hot, ( I personally think most older women are hot.) so we base things on the couples themselves.

Mr. Sweet and I are both 36. We've found that we have trouble relating to most couples who are 10 years younger than us, so we keep our minimum age at 28. On the higher end of the scale, we've found that we have a little more wiggle room as far as relatability and attraction go.

Like some of the responses before this, I have a concern doing it with a woman young enough to be my daughter's friend had I started having children at 18 (had I, she'd be 27 now).

Mostly though, it has to do with attraction...but we use 30 for the low end of the single male search and 50 as the top. For couples, we use 35 for the low and low 50's for the top end.

We are 36 and 38. We first set it at 21-45. Then we were actually contacted by a 21 year old single male that lives less than 2 miles away. The thought that he could have a younger brother or sister in school with our high school boys gave me the "ewww" factor. So now it's 26 for the young scale. As for the high range, we first started with 45, but since have actually hit it off with folks older than that. But, I do still have issues with someone my dad's age at 60.

26-55 now, we're fairly comfortable with that. However, we would never not meet someone we felt compatable with just because they weren't in the age range.

We have never been asked or approached by anyone that showed up for the event, under 30.

I guess ya could say "they" set the bar.

Anyone over 100, that wants to..... It would depend,.. on if their wearing "depends"

I think we have ours set at something like 21-55. But in reality, if you are hot and willing, you are the right age. We have played with folks from 22-65, they were all fun.
