What could be wrong with our profile on AFF!

Ok,we have been in the life style now for about three years.We have met some very nice people.But for some reason we dont draw the interest we get very few hits on our profile. We do sent out flirts and e-mails to people that we find attractive but hardly ever get a reply. Our problem is are we to picky? We believe that we are a good looking couple in decent shape,clean,out going. The wife is Straight, not Bi. We seem to attract people at first till they find out that my wife isn't Bi,then they lose interest. We have hooked up with a few couples, a couple of the experience's were great. One we thought was fantastic., till about three days after, the lady from the couple that we played with sent me an e-mail saying that she wasn't sexually attracted to me in any way .Well she sure did seem to have a good time that night. and They even said that they had a fun time. Oh well! it is what it is I guess. Have you considered changing sites. We never had good luck with AFF. We switched to another site and immediately started meeting fun and interesting people. Also, we think that clubs and meet & greets are generally better for people seeking initial introductions.

It may help,but We also were on Swappernet for couple of years and we dropped that because of lack of interest. were wondering if it could be our area where we live? and of course the fact that Di isn't Bi. Thanks for your reply.

I would also consider changing sites. We noticed that the e-mails were fewer once I changed from bi-curious to straight as well. Oh well, I am not opposed to girl/girl play with the right lady, but I am no longer curious.

I couldnt even get onto the site (AFF) for some reason, but I think you have to be a member to see your profile, so I cant help there. However I would be interested in what it says, maybe there is something there that is putting people off... I wasnt crazy about the site when we were looking at the different ones. Its worth a shot to try Swing Lifestyle, pay for a month to see all the available features and see how it goes.

I just looked at your profile on Swing Lifestyle. Is your AFF profile as spartan? I do not care for AFF as it generates too many fakes and picture collectors. However, Swing Lifestyle has proven to be fairly good for us. We have met some wonderful people through Swing Lifestyle.

Also, check your grammar, spelling and punctuation. Any of those being left in error will give people pause.

As for the Bi/Straight issue; Just let the community know what you like and dont. You may lose some interest, but there are plenty of men and women out there just like you and they are looking for you too!

I would also put at couple pictures on your Swing Lifestyle profile. Sure it is a free account, but still, photos help sell the package!

I understand your desire to attract more visitors, however, this is possibly one reason that people break off once they discover that they have been mislead. This gives the visitor a false impression and that makes them wonder what else could be unture.

We are not members on AFF. We took a look and it seemed the "quality" per capita was not very good. Lots of, what we like to call "gyno shots" and not much substance or depth in many of the profiles. We know several couples that are members there and they did not seem too pleased with the site either. Although we're all ultimately looking for the same thing here (sex), we're looking for a bit more than just a "hook-up" site. We look to build relationships(on some level) with people. Not just email, show up, hit it and head home. That's, IMHO, what AFF tends to lean toward.

I did not go to AFF so I don't know what your profile looks like but here are some generic, personal guidelines we tend to follow and look for.

First you have to put up pics. There is no way around this. Physical attraction is a necessity so by default pics are a necessity. I understand that privacy and discretion might be an issue, like they are with us, so here's what we do. Post up some good body shots. No faces. This will initially attract prospects. And they don't HAVE to be nude pics. But they should be somewhat revealing. No one likes surprises in this department.

Second, be 100% up front and honest with who you are and what you are looking for. People need to know if you are what they are expecting and if they are what you are expecting. Be as descriptive as you want to be. Put some personality in your description. Something that others that would be interested in you can connect with. Don't lie/withhold anything like age, bisexuality, etc. Same goes here about the no surprises thing.

Third, send face pics with your emails. And expect the same back. I know it's kinda risky but if people want to actually know who they are going meet and what they look like. And not just their bodies. Trust me on this one. We've been burned on this one before. We won't meet ANYONE without face pics. PERIOD! I feel I need to mention here that people REALLY don't like surprises in this area either.

Fourth, sign up for "speed dating", "hot dates" or whatever they call it on AFF. It really puts your profile out there.

Fifth, maybe try another site. We've been on swingers date club for years and have had great luck. Good quantity of members and they are, for the most part, of great quality. Both in the looks AND the "other" departments. Swingers, in general, are good people. We just paid for a couple of months on Swing Lifestyle and within 2 days received over a dozen emails. Most from couples that look like pretty good matches for us. We've run across a few people we already knew as well. The UI sux but it seems they have a large member base.Try out some other sites and see what happens.
