Swing Lifestyle privacy warnings?

We've started seeing the following on a number of Swing Lifestyle profiles recently.

WARNING: Any institutions using this site or any of its associated sites for studies or projects - You do NOT have my permission to use any of my profile, videos, or pictures in any form or forum both current and future. If you have or do, it will be considered a serious violation of my privacy and will be subject to legal ramifications.

Did something happen recently that precipitated this notice? We feel kinda out of the loop. I'm also pretty sure that the warning notice is just reiterating stuff that's in the TOS (for as enforceable as those are, I guess).

As one of the owners of Google stated last week at a conference, If you don't want the world to know about it, don't put it on the Internet.

We had been reading the warning, and today on AFF ran into someone who suggested all of us google our online profile name I was not surprised to see the places where we used our profile name for Yahoo sites, but were shocked at the amount of referrals to our profile name with content that seemed to be all generated by AFF. Our profile was up for renewal anyway so I deleted it completely and will work with another site now Swing Lifestyle (Which had no footprint in google under our profile name)(and we were so waiting for an invite from you guys to meet between Eugene and Redmond, ).

I have a question. What harm is there in having a bunch of unrelated AFF garbage come up when you type your alias into Google? As long as your alias is not something that pins you down like "HarryAndHarrietSmithAt101ElmStreetQuincyMass" , you're OK.

I googled my profile name and get hits on content from AFF, Swing Lifestyle (they even list towns near mine), and here. BFD, I'm on two sites for hookups and one to talk about stuff and all three show up in a search. Looks like the interweb works as spec'd....

I googled our name and got a bunch of Major League baseball transactions from people being activated from the DL on the Florida Marlins

As a couple who have been burned by the AFF site, allowing our profile, and photos to be searched, we are with VegasLee... If you don't want the world to know about it, don't put it on the Internet

AFF Swing Lifestyle and similar sites exist for the $$$$ generated. AFF is a Penthouse cash cow. Not sure about Swing Lifestyle ownership, but it is all about the $$$$, it is YOUR naked PHOTOS that draw memberships. It is those memberships which draw the $$$$.

A word of advice for those with "private" photos, and "private profiles" who are leaving the system: Eliminate all your photos, empty (just delete the content) your profile then SAVE it, leave it for a couple days prior to eliminating your profile/membership. IF you don't AFF will still use your PHOTOS and PROFILE to exploit others contemplating membership.

We chose our name carefully. The name fits us, the names is easy to remember/simple, and it's also very popular with a variety of people. Bands use it, so a google search just brings up a ton of chaff.

I thought this would be an appropriate place to insert a link regarding privacy. I just finished reading the thread again for the second time and it seems fitting. Especially considering what CXXC has to say about the matter!
