Backlog?

I'm curious how people manage their list of people that are interested in getting together. There's a number of couples that have contacted us and for a variety of reasons (scheduling, distance, etc) we've not had a chance to meet. I would say right now we have about 10 couples that have contacted us, and we are interested in meeting.

Do you go back and review these contacts? Do you occasionally send a "hey how are you" email indicating there is still interest?

I'm not looking for advice, just curious how others manage this.

We try to stay in contact, let them know that we're interested but are also busy living life. We're pretty much book about a month in advance most of the time.

Yeah, what xxxboxy said. Although usually we don't have that many potential matches out there. Nice going!

We also tend to let people know of events or gatherings in the area. That way we can meet more than one of them at once.

We do our very best to keep in contact with the interested parties. Generally, we send them an e-mail at least once every month or less to make certain they know we are still interested but unable to get the schedules lined up!

I also include our yahoo IM in the mailings. If they wish to chat on-line to get to know us a little better until the day we actually meet, they have the option.

There are people on this board we have been wanting to meet since we joined. Unfortunately, time, distance and life are not always on our side! Grrr.

I just try to stay in touch via emails or instant-messages... if I'm lucky enough to get a phone number - I'll send them a text message or two from time to time.

I don't know if this applies more to us that are newer than those that have been in the lifestyle for awhile. I know we are juggling 2 regular swing couples and 3 new ones in the meet & greet stage.

I would like to think that eventually we will have a circle of regulars that can keep our calendars as full as we would like them to be??? That is really a question.

Will we ever get to that point where we are turning down a lot of potentials because we have a lot of actuals? Will it always be the hunt and search because life just keeps everyone busy?

Seriously, I think it's just because we use the clubs and socials more than the sites... add to that that everyone at this point is on a notice of "we aren't playing right now but will let you know when we are". When that day comes we may have to reassess this backlog issue.

Whoops struck a nerve

I've read your blogs and hope things get better for you. Part of things backing up is that we've been on a break since Oct 1 due to an injury my wife sustained and subsequent surgery. Trying to get back into things, but I've been sick which dumped last weekend and this coming one too.
