Example of a Bad Introductory Letter/ Contact

Hi. I'm not the best at introductory letters. Knowing what and/or what not to state on these e-mails is always a problem, but I always try to send a few out from time to time to see if there really is any interest on this web site. It seems e-mail exchanges are the hardest requirement to send or receive. lol I'm sending this e-mail through my personal single female due to problems with a lost of our couples profile here on Swing Lifestyle. They promise to look into the problem, but as of yet, we've received no reply. I'm hoping to find like minded members who would be interested in a future get together. I'm from the X area but given a time, place, and reason, traveling has never been a problem. *Please take the time to read my profile.* Thou long in it's contents, I believe you'll find enough information about the two of us. I have avoided profile photos due to past problems with photo copy and collectors. My profile was set up to be humorous but yet informitive as well. Tho, to some people, it may seem negative in it's contents, but I assure you, it's only due to the number of "BUTT HEADS" who find pleasure in ruining the fun for those of us who enjoy the lifestyle. It's not suppose to feel like work. I do require a cam verification first (chat), before exchanging pictures or phone numbers. I'm making every effort to prove we are real and interested and encourage others to do the same in order to keep this lifestyle safe, honest, discreet, and enjoyable fun that it was intended to be. Most of my planning is spur of the moment. Money, Time, Place, and Reason set my scheduling. If you need any further information about us, please feel free to ask. I answer all e-mails and would appreciate if all members would do the same. If you should find an interest in us, please send a reply and we'll set up a future cam chat. Looking forward to receiving your reply soon.

Here's what's wrong with this picture, in case you couldn't figure it out on your own.

- At least you recognize the obvious - you aren't good at introductory letters.
- This is a "couple" emailing from the profile of a single female, but never once referring to the male half of the couple (constantly I instead of We).
- They did include the name of their couples profile (I removed it), but it was not accessible
- the SF profile was just as negative and weird as her comments above might make you believe it would be.
- You won't include even a picture of yourselves, and expect me to agree to a cam chat before you will do so? But, yet there is nothing in your profile or introductory LETTER to give me any reason to believe that we might be interested or that it would be worth our time.
- you're about 2 hours away from us (this part isn't obvious from the letter), I removed their location.

And then you wonder why you don't seem to get any responses?

Oh and Pet pointed out one other thing. Her SF profile was also pushing for some Cam Group (had as much about that group as it did negativity, and little else). He felt like it might have just been spam for the group. Either way, it's poor marketing.

I reads like a Woody Allen comedy routine: Paranoid and schizophrenic. The top reason for ignoring an introductory letter is, "we (or I) would have [whatever] but . . ."

We received this (below) today on Swing Lifestyle. The pictures on the profile are of a very attractive woman, but none of the man. It almost seems innocent enough, but they have been on Swing Lifestyle since 06. Seems like a long time to getting to posting more. Part of me says it's a real contact, another part says picture collector.

Heck, he's deployed and this is x & y? Someone isn't thinking about that one to begin with.

Now it is possible that they both have viewed the profile and both want to try to chatm but the furthest thing from our minds after a deployment is swinging, at least for the fist month.

My reply would be " " - i.e. nothing. That one has FAKE written all over it! This is the kind of thing we get on craigslist all the time (though the ones from CL are not as well written).

We received the exact same email... word for word. That must be a long three weeks, because we received that message in May!

Here's one we received the other day. I took out the names and their yahoo ID but everything else is exactly like we received it. I've yet to respond to it as well, I can't figure out what to say, other than "Huh"?

I always try to respond to every e-mail we get but this is one that might not get any response. Our profile clearly states we are not meeting new people at this time due to our schedules...IF they had actually read our profile, they would have seen that.

Didnt you know? They are different! YOU REALLY WANT TO MEET THEM! They are not like everyone else. They are the exception to the rule. They have something no others do. You really need to give them a try! LOL!!!

What bugs me more is the fact that they may have read your entire profile and decided to ignore that part. Like I said, they may feel you might change your mind once you see their profile! LOL

When I receive unsolicited E-mails from people on Swinger sites that have clearly ignored our requirements, I simply quote back that portion of our profile as an answer to their e-mail. It works.

I was speaking to the members who try to initiate a meeting when you have clearly stated that you are not meeting any new couples due to scheduling conflicts.
