Responding to online contacts

I often receive an invitation email on Swing Lifestyle to meet, or contact, an individual, or a couple, multiple times. Some of these multiple emails are checking to see if my mind or circumstance has changed since their last email. But many appear to be worded as a first contact in their mind. Upon reveiw of the mail history the wording of the invite may remain the same on a few . Some don't have feel of a "first contact" again, but a let's-try-hitting-her-up-again, with no reference to a contact before.

I come from the mindset if someone takes the time to email me I make the time to respond even if a quick and polite (I hope) turn down. Some of the repeat "no thank yous" will include a message about my answer still being the same, or a referal to their email history for my reply. The latter will usally be reserved for the third or fourth or more email. Not trying to be snippy but yet letting them know I do pay attention. In the scheme of things it is not a biggy but my curiousity is up. How many times am I obligated to turn down the same offers?

1st e-mail = no thank you

2nd e-mail = again no thank you

3rd e-mail = WHAT PART OF NO DON"T YOU GET ..no thank you

4th e-mail = delete

I hate to say it, but, Swing Lifestyle does have a blocking feature. if they dont get it the first two emails, then, simply block em.. they wont be able to write you or see you online.

I'm with Fun4D's. Give 'em the courtesy of a second reply. They may have either forgotten they sent you a first email, or what your response might've been. Or perhaps their circumstances have changed and they feel you may be more compatible and wish to try again. After two no's . . . ignore (and block, if necessary).

We've gotten multiple e-mail's from users on Swing Lifestyle and after two replies they just get deleted and not answered at all. We use the notes section to remind us of the multi's and let them know so. such as "You e-mailed us on .... and we are not interested."

My sentiment exactly. As a couple we use the same policy. If you didn't take the "no thank you" the first time, then the second time you contact me I'm blocking you.

One other tip. NEVER say you are not interested "at this time", it just implies that you might be interested later and gives them the option to try again.
