Where to advertise in Reno, NV?

Hello!

My wife and I are just jumping into the full swap after spending a couple years doing some very mild play. In fact, we're hoping to have our first real experiences at the end of this month while we're at Desire in Cancun.

Because we are so new to the swap aspect, we haven't played with anyone locally and don't know anyone locally that's in the lifestyle. We're interested in meeting other couples, but I'd be esspscially interested in getting to know others in the lifestyle in general (not necessarily for sex, but not excluding it either). Is this done, or would it be considered a waste of time by experienced couples?

If it's not outside the boundaries of acceptabilty, where does one advertise? I live in what appears to be a small market, Reno, NV, There don't seem to be many sites or groups that have a lot of traffic.

Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Most couples advertise on SLS in this area. If you wanting to meet local people and not have to worry about wasting their time, you might consider the two clubs in town, Pokher-Knights and Dilligas. Clubs are our preferred method of meeting couples.

You're on swinglifestyle. Try a search there. I switched my zip code to Reno (89501) and ran a search looking for couples +/- eight years of you and your wife, within 50 miles of that zip code, not restricting on what they're happy to do or restricting on photos on the profiles. I came back with 311 hits. I'd say you've got plenty of potential contacts there. There's also a number of potential clubs to check out in the Reno area.

I agree with the others above. I just wanted to add that if you are trying to meet people on a site like SLS, but are not interested in meeting them for sex, be sure you let them know that right up front. The reason I say that is that most of us are on sites like that looking for people to hook up with for sex, and we would be pretty pissed if we showed up to meet you and found out that you had no intention of pursuing sex all along. Keep in mind that we don't expect to have sex with everyone we meet, but we take it on good faith that all parties are meeting to see if we are compatible sexually.

Frankly, while we have no problem with sitting and talking to folks at the clubs knowing their will be no expectation of sex, we would definitely consider it a waste of our time to meet someone through one of the swinger dating sites for that though.
