What is this exactly? Can you basically pick a folder and put a password on it, because that would be awesome! Someone explain this in layman's terms for the somewhat computer illiterate. lol

If you are referring to TrueCrypt, it reserves a portion of your hard drive (you specify how much), and turns it into a virtual encrypted drive. To you, this will look like a second hard drive once you have accessed it using the password. On this virtual drive, you can create files and folders. You simply drag and drop files and folders from your regular hard drive (the C drive) to the virtual drive, which has its own drive letter. Once you close the virtual drive, the only way to access the files on it again is by typing in the password. There are other utilities (such as WinRAR) which can encrypt just files and folders, but the encryption is not nearly as strong as TrueCrypt.

You're welcome! In this day and age protecting your right to privacy is becoming harder and harder, but with the right tools it is still possible!

Ok, I am a retard when it comes to computers so can someone please tell me, if I download this program, will it allow me to decide which photos I want secured or does it automatically encript everything on my computer, included ¨Vanilla¨ photos.

Also, if my photos are encripted and I wanted to send them to someone in an email, does this prevent the person I send them to frm seeing them?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Google chrome incognito mode is what I use now for all "sensitive" web browsing. Doesn't keep anything- cookies, etc. Then for my regular stuff, when I want cookies and history stored, I just use regular chrome or internet explorer- with no traces of the other stuff lurking around.

Dont have much to hide I guess. We just log out on our side and leave our guest account password free.

I suppose if we got hacked they would just see we are swingers. Sometimes a little dirty minded maybe .

If they wanted to steal our real identity. They would be the fourth of the already three that have done so. Long story but I can say, IRS doesn't care. Social security is glad. BMW doesn't care. Local law enforcment isn't much help either ( they are kind of busy with other stuff) But do have things on file.

This happened with someone stealing my truck with Mrs.funs purse in it... Not the computer.

Our bank account we use online is kind of a blind to our other account, we keep in person only. Hackers, would feel sorry for us hopefully, and leave a few bucks being that we are poor, but nice people.

I suppose when our grandkids get older, we may have concerns
