Pictures that turn you off!

We all know that a picture in your SLS or other site profile is a great benefit. However, I was wonder if there are certain types of pictures that turn one off for what ever reason. For example I was approving pictures for another web site I belong to and I rejected several pictures because the person in the picture was “flipping” me off and had a really “mean” look on his face. Another I rejected had the subject holding a sign/note saying “let’s F**k B*t*h”. Is anyone else offended by pictures like this.

Honestly...I may have just approved those photos if I were you.... But I'm a little evil like that. I mean, if that's your attitude (Let's fuck bitch or the flip off pics)...then I would like to know up front. It would probably keep people from contacting them, and maybe they would figure out why. Or if not, they could come here and ask for a profile review.

That is a very good way to look at it. I was simply offended by them and did a knee jerk reation. Thanks for pointing that out.

I agree, the pictures you deleted would have turned us off but I would not have deleted them if they had been submitted to a profile on one of our sites. Just because I don't like something does not mean the person on the profile does not have the right to put it up there. I would have thought to myself how stupid they are but that is their choice to show the world they are that way.

Other big turn offs to us are close up pictures of their "parts" and pictures on Swinger sites that have their kids in them.

People forget when making screen names and putting out pictures, on the Internet you get one chance to make a first impression.

Like Lee, I would have approved them for the site. I don't like what they have to say, but people I guess would see what they're really like and would probably base their decisions to write, or in our case, not write them based on those pictures.

Pictures that I absolutely abhor are those with close up genital shots and kids. Kids have no business being in any sort of swinger shot.

I think it would be beneficial to other swingers to see those flipping-you-off and "let's fuck bitch" pictures left in a profile; they DO let people know something important about those swingers that will help them decide if they want anything to do with them.

I review SLS profiles in the "Couples Profile Reviews" forum of this Board, quite a few in past years, and doing this has taught me NOT to suggest certain changes. I realized - after one particular review - that some of my suggestions certainly would make them more approachable, but likely at the expense of the people contacting them; they'd discover something they weren't expecting, which would probably result in a terrible outcome.

If you have the ability to read a profile AND see the pictures you can get a fuller take on people; the profile can help you understand the reasoning behind the pics, and vice versa. That finger pic may be hilarious when you read the person's profile, or it could let you know this is an angry dude! - it depends on how one supports the other.

Regarding pictures that include children, as far as I know, no swinger ad sites allow those. If those popped up, I would not approve them.

I approve pics on SLS fairly regularly.

The only ones I don't approve are any that have kids (even in the background, site's rules), scat, pee, bestiality (yes I've seen this), or anything illegal.

Now, when approving some of these, I think to myself "You are so going to strike out on here with that pic".

Of course, there's someone for everyone, so I could be wrong.


Personally, I just love the pics where the guy holds a can of Coors Light next to his erect shlong so everyone can see just how big it is in relation to his favorite adult beverage. [/sarcasm]

Does the old saying, one man's junk is another man's treasure. We each have our own idea what is sexy. We're not complex people, so a simple pic of the couple together, G rated is enough to explore the possibility of meeting.

We prefer to see pics that show a person's eyes over their genitals anyday--I mean, there is a lot more to be told by ones eyes then their hoo-hoo anyday lol. The pics that need to be looked for more closely are ones that, appear to be "fake" or set up for promotion of something other then the sites intent. Also, ones that have girls with questionable age and can't show proof they really are old enough.

We know not everyone has access to studio quality photos for their profiles, but when they think we're so naive they can foist off any of the following, it's a turn-off.

We get concerned when it's a pic we've seen floating around the Web for years, or one that's previously been associated with a different handle. (whose pic are you using?)

Also pics where it's obvious someone has been cropped out.

And pics that are from a context that REALLY doesn't match swinging (e.g., pics from the kids or grandparents birthday party just aren't a turn-on)

And pics that were obviously taken without the subject's knowledge. (guys, you may tell us your wife is hot to do this, but when the only pic you have is her changing her underwear in a dark room taken from a camera hidden in the closet...)

OR if they've obviously doctored the pic to enlarge or reshape body parts (ahem! guys, we've seen a lot of them, and we KNOW that thing doesn't actually dangle below your knee)

Depends...there are a few couples in our area that started out as singles, so many of the pics on their (now combined) profile are ones that used to be on their singles profiles.

Most of the pics on our profile are not 'swinging related context' pictures. I just uploaded some that I took of myself that are sexier. If you think it's a good or flattering picture, I don't quite care where it came from (although, I'm not enamoured of wedding pictures...sure they are good pics, done professionally...but hey, that's just one of my peeves). But then again...this falls under the picture cropping issue....if it's a good picture from your great-grandmother's 100th birthday party...crop out other family members, etc.

And to the comment about the hard on next to a can of their preferred beverage...rotflmao...those just make me laugh.

I say it's not for you to decide or censor photos unless they do not meet the sites criteria which is typically any children, beastiality, do-do, etc.

Someone flipping a bird or heading a picture with "Lets Fuck Bitch" will be censored personally. If someone else looks at those pics are are offended by them then the pic originator is doing nothing but hurting themselves.

So I say for those kinds of pics, let each viewer decide what they see as offensive.

Personally, if I saw a picture with a heading "Lets Fuck Bitch", I'd just move on. But I don't need you or someone else to censor that for me.

This is the Mrs., since most women are not a visual as a man I prefer G-rated photos. If your personality turns me on then I am interested. A pic of your d*ck doesn't do it for me. To be able to touch it different story.
