Pictures that turn you off!

I agree with Lee on the above totally, but I have an additional request.

I've also grown weiry of seeing profiles that only have pictures of an ass, not much of a back, not much legs or anything. I would really prefer a picture with an entire body (g-rated or r-rated, no preference), and it would even be better if I could at least get a head shot with a blurred face at least. But just an ass, come on. I have an ass, my wife has an ass, and I'm pretty sure everyone we've played with has an ass. I saw one profile that had a half dozen pictures, and everyone of them was an ass. In my opinion, that sort of displays a lack of diversity and creativity.

Can you tell, I'm tired of looking at only asses? I like a nice ass, but I'm all about the total package.

I'm in with ownerspet... I like to see some personality as well as some near to full body shots... I don't need to even see your birthday suit, but give me a glimpse of your shapely figure and I'll figure out the rest.

My wife goes with newlythree on this one... picture of the junk don't do it... personlity does... now... pulling the handle for service... THAT she can do...

I must be a perv ! haha! I the female half like the cock pictures. I like to have an idea what I am getting in to. Full body shots even with a blurred face are nice as well.
My husband just likes to see a full body shot even if they have clothes on. He doesn't like the naked pictures nearly as much as I do.

For me the ones that really bug are the ones that show someone's face but they look pissed or totally disinterested. That I just don't get. At least with body parts it's about something sexual so I can understand why it's there, but if in your picture you or your partner looks angry or like you don't care at all what message are you trying to send? The message I get is to move on.

I have a lot of picture turn-offs, actually.

1. Pictures that show a really dirty/cluttered/etc. house. Atleast pick up the dirty socks if you're taking pictures of yourself for posting.

2. Dis-embodied cock-shots. I do NOT want to see JUST the man-bits and nothing else. It's creepy.

3. Anything on an adult/swing/dating site with your kids in it. Not the place for family photos.

People who flaunt their wealth in their profiles. Ex. multiple pictures of a pick-up truck with a christian fish sticker on the windshield parked in a driveway of a oversized McMansion.

I agree totally! Dirty house and kids in the pics is a big turn-off. Actually, there is one more bone I have to pick. I am very surprised by some people who post pics that actually think they look good in. I mean I am no model or anything, but I would choose the best looking pic where everything just seemed perfect to me. Dirty house, kids, dirty clothing or a picture of yourself where you look a little up kept. C'mon, post something that makes you look the most appealing.

i'm not a big fan of pics where you can tell that the people just aren't even trying at all. i mean, you don't have to dress up and be someone you're not but at least have pictures where the both of you aren't sitting on the couch while watching tv in your dingy work clothes, laundry all over the place, and your baby with an obviously dirty diaper crawling on the floor. at least TRY to be SOMEWHAT sexy and enticing.

i also dislike the ones that you can tell were Polaroids from 1982 or that are so small that you can't even see them.

Susan here--It's been a while since we had a profile, but when we did it, the first photo was of us as a couple, at a charity dinner. The second was a full body 'cheesecake' photo of me sitting on a counter in a simple dress with heels. We got good responses from that. We always used current photos, good resolution and quality.

But I have to admit, the raunchy photos were never in profiles that we contacted. Also, when the photos were only of the wife. That always struck me as the guy trying to whore out his wife. Lastly, photos where no one is smiling.

agreed. i'm not into the wife-only profiles or the ones where people look like they're not having fun or taking the pictures against their will. i once saw a profile on SLS that absolutely floored me. i can't remember what the profile actually said but what i do remember is that the guy was a complete waste of oxygen. he was one of those super egotistical, body builder types and he couldn't have been more chauvinistic and bigoted if he tried. the thing that got me though is that he had one picture of himself up (naked and flexing his muscles of course) but the rest were of his girlfriend who was obviously not into at all. she almost looked scared in all of the pics and in many of them she was holding a sign that said "property of" whatever the guy's handle name was. according to the profile she was also like 20 years younger than him (he was in his 40's). it was just really sad to me and it turned my stomach. poor girl.

If I run across a pic I don't like, I just don't look at it. it's that easy for me. One man trash is another mans gold. As long as the pic is not illegal, then it should be their choice as what then want to put up to represent them. Like I said, if I don't like it I don't look at it.

I remember when I was a kid that my great grandfather used to wear long sleeve shirts to cover a tatoo up on his left arm. When I asked him why he said that he don't want people to see it. Then I asked what the tatoo mean? He said that it was censorship of a race of people. It was not until years latter that I found out the history behind the tatoo of numbers on his arm. None of the books in school told the real story like my grandfather did.

This was a great thread to read through. As newcomers here, I was curious what kind of photos people like to see. This helps give me a better idea what direction the wife and I need to go.

We are both professionals and don't want to attract the wrong crowd if you know what I mean.

Won't pretend to speak for others but JoAnn and I prefer pictures showing a man and woman together, dressed nicely, posed portrait-style, smiles on faces. One of the reasons that we use SLS exclusively is that they do not allow lewd or explicit images as "public" pictures.
