Alcohol and Swinging

Recommended Posts

I was curious how much alcohol plays into your swinging adventures. Often it helps to loosen the inhibitions or inherent shyness that might be present not to mention the euphoric feeling. It is definately not something to rely on for this though. It can get you in trouble when you let it get out of control, and lose too much inhibitions, or become diconnected from you SO. And of course there is the flacidity that beer can cause...

I know a few people that don't drink at all, some that drink midly, and many others at the club that seem to want to get blitzed by the end of the night...

I like to drink a few & get that giggly buzzed feeling. Just enough to feel good, but know what is going on around me & I can function properly in any situation! lol

On average I will have two drinks and then switch to water. Mr. only drinks water or soda. We are there to enjoy the experience not get plowed. We will also not play with someone that has had to many because it is a turn off to me. I don't want a sloppy drunk in my bed.

We find that most people are pretty conservative about there drinking and swinging although there always seems to be one couple that really goes overboard. One evening I had to escort a woman from the play room because she was getting ill while playing with the couple next to us. Her husband was oblivious to the situation and I had to go in and retrieve him after I got her situated. What a downer that can throw on you evening.

I rarely drink anything at all - just don't care for it too much except the occasional glass of cheap wine and an ice cold beer in the summer. I don't have any problem with people having a couple of drinks, but I have no use for drunks and don't care to be around them. If I'm going to consider sexual activity, I certainly want all my wits about me and don't want to wake up the next day thinking, "Oh, wow...that was nothing but an alcohol experience." - EBF :)

I left out this point...I have no alcohol tolerance. Two glasses of wine can get me more snockered than some people drinking an entire bottle of wine. :(

We're not drinkers. Mrs. Alura has never been drunk and Mr. Alura knows the feeling well enough to not like it. Neither of us has been drunk in the twenty-four years we've know each other.

Sometimes we drink one glass of wine or one beer with a meal. We have, on occasion, had a glass of wine with our playmates before playing.

We have a full liquor cabinet of booze that friends have given us. We seldom drink it and the supply keeps growing. :)

J and I can share a bottle of wine, but any more than that will put us both out, and that's no fun. :(

Because of her upbringing, J has trouble letting herself relax. She's always thinking about this thing or that thing that she 'should' be doing. We find that a little (and again, I emphasize a little) alcohol helps her let go of her worries for the moment and have fun. Which we did last night...you should have seen her dancing at the concert. ;)

For me - the magic number is three beers...

Too few and I am quiet and dull - too many and I can be a little loud and my business doesn't work. This weekend, (as I have said before, but it was so good, I'll say it again) we met an awesome couple that we had a blast with... But I had four beers and things got a little scary in the play department. I managed to pull through like a champ - but I have had it happen where too much beer pretty much kills it...

For Mrs Spoo - she has this internal thing that keeps her from getting drunk. She's been there, but rarely when we are out in public. I don't think she has a set limit, but she is just always composed.

We used to come home and sit on the porch after a run and drink a beer (for me) and a malt beverage (for her). But, we are training a little harder with our running right now, so we have limited alcohol to club nights or when we have dinner with friends (and at dinner it is one drink only.)

I think that might be a woman thing. I have that same internal thing!

We have noticed that it is the nights that we go to the club thinking that we are just going to sit back, relax and have a good time but not neccessarily play that we get the most offers. I have the same problem, if I have more than a couple of drinks juniour doesn't want to rise to the occasion. Just recently we went to the club knowing that we would have to leave early due to some early morning commiments the next day. I was tired and told mrs. that I was going to have a couple of drinks to unwind, visit a little and then we could go home and get some sleep. Within twenty minutes we were approached by a couple that wanted to play. I was tired and had had a couple of drinks and things just weren't popping up the way they should. In reality it was just taking a little longer than usual but then the lady I was with said something that is gauranteed to complicate the issue. She looked up at me and said "aren't you interested in me?" .... :( ... well, yea, I am, I stuttered (embarrased, I didn't say). I finally rallyed and everthing worked out, but I vowed then and there not to drink anything but water and soft drinks at the club again.

My wife and I drink at parties and such, and it does help loosen-up those inhibitions. But we just like to get a buzz on, not get drunk. And Tequila is like liquid Viagra for me so some of the flacidity problems don't play in here.

However, it can backfire bigtime. Last night at a party a couple we really have hit it off with in the past and haven't played with were there and things were on the right track and we were talking about going back to their place, but... She was so blitzed that they just had to go home. LOL She had a bit too much fun. :) So alcohol put the brakes on last night's activities. Oh well, there will be other nights.

We’re not really drinkers. When I, the male, was younger I have to admit I did go through a few periods of drinking too much on occasion. For the past 3 or 4 years though, neither of us has become very drunk all that often.

Now when we go to the club we do take drinks with us. It’s usually a nice wine or a martini for her and almost always vodka tonics for me. We never get sloppy drunk, we always try to keep our wits about us.

Now, I have a personal question about drinking. Everyone always says that alcohol inhibits the libido, that it interferes in the performance of the male to maintain an erection. I don’t doubt that and am not contesting it. My question is about the way vodka effects me personally and why it might.

You see, when I have a few vodkas I will get an erection that just will NOT go away. My lovers have always made jokes about it saying, “get this boy some Vodka!!!” Even Cat calls it “liquid Viagra.”

Why would this one particular liquor have such and effect when nothing else does??

Regards,

~D

We'll have a couple of drinks during the early stages of any meeting, just to warm the ice a little. I've always likened it to the process I go through in order to dance at my best. I'm not afraid to get on a dance floor stone cold sober, but I feel considerably more comfortable out there with a little JD coursing through me.

I react the same way to vodka. It makes me absolutely sex-crazed!

I even had to stop drinking it in public because I become really aggresive and way too provocative---even just after two drinks!

No other alcohol does that to me.

We're not big drinkers but we like to have a few drinks when we're out to unwind. We wouldn't get together with anyone that obviously had too much to drink. That would be a BIG turn-off.

I am glad to know I am not the only one who has this reaction. I am still puzzled why though.

Alright...I think I'll try switching to vodka

We normally take a small bottle of JD with us to the club and drink it with diet coke. We both usually have a couple of drinks to unwind and then switch back to soda so we are having fun but still functional and also capable of driving home.

Ok, I "Googled" vodka, aphrodisiacs & horny.

There are quite a number of drinks made with vodka named:

Horny School girl/boy, Horny Toad, Horny Goat, Horny Bull, Vodka Horny, Horny Devil......and the list goes on.

I also found this---->

Caviar -- That's right, fish eggs contain a large amount of beneficial vitamins. They are rich in phosphorus and are very nourishing to nerve cells. Their apparent aphrodisiac powers are reinforced by vodka. So get yourself into Absolut shape for the night.

Oh, and I found a website called: Vodka, Horny Girl and a Dildo. :D

It seems like vodka=horny.....but I can't find scientific proof.

@Vespertine,

I guess it's a good thing you are so far away from us. If we all met, had a few vodka tonics, some caviar and "clicked" it could be a dangerous thing! :8-0:::8-0::

Well for us, when we go out I (the male half) stick with coke or water and let the missus indulge in her taste for whiskey sours, although this last Saturday she decided to go with Prosecco instead... :)

I'm leery of the potential of alcohol to negatively impact my ability to "perform"--although I am wishing I could still stomach Vodka after reading some of the earlier posts. I think it is also good for one of us to keep our wits about us--and since I did enough drinking in college to last a lifetime I figure I know enough to appreciate what I am missing...

try - Kettle one... I highly recommend it! ;)

I get very sick on any other brand... it cost a bit more but it is worth the extra pennies. Especially if my Darter drinks it!
