drinking and swinging

this might have already been a topic. How many of you feel that you are just social drinkers? And how many people on here feel they NEED a drink to loosen up before having sex with another couple?
We just had a couple tell us that we didnt have anything in common because they prefer to get "retarded drunk" in order to have a good time. My husband and I dont drink at all, but we dont care if others do.
So I was just wondering what everyone elses views on drinking and swinging are.

I do not drink. Laura does enjoy drinking but she does not get "retarded drunk" to swing or have a good time.

Now, I will admit that I look better to people that are "retarded drunk" but I prefer to not party with people that have to get that drunk to have fun in life or with me.

The good thing about being one that does not drink though is I am the one that remembers later all the silly things that the drunks do.

I get very flirty with one or two drinks in my bloodstream, but any more than that, I'm ready to go home to bed. To sleep. Alone.

I wouldn't want to swing with a couple that was obviously pretty tanked. I'd like people to remember me the next morning.

Mrs Naughty and I usualy, but not always, have a few drinks but not because we need it to swing. Usualy we are out at our favorite vanilla club with friends enjoying good times and occasionaly Mrs naughty will find someone to corrupt .

I must say though, at least for me, when we were just getting our feet wet, a drink or two went a long way in relaxing me.

Just a few throughout the night, and that will do us. We take a pint (of rum) to the club, to split between us, and that is enough to last us through the night.

When I was a young man, I often got sloppy drunk, like young men do. I don't miss that at all

We drink. We don't care if you do or don't. But we are turned-off by people that are retarded drunk. If you have to be retarded drunk to have sex with us then we don't want to have sex with you. That's my story.

T and I do consume on occasion, that being said, niether one feels it's a requirement or necessity for us to swing. We've been stone sober and retarded drunk and actually prefer sober so that were able to fully enjoy and remember the festivities. A few to relax is perfectly fine.

Fem D is a lightweight but has tried to be a heavyweight on play nights. She usually has a good time but doesn't always have the best memory of what happened. I have been trying to set an example by not having much to drink and I think it is working. Funny, I'm the one who'd love to have a few, but on play nights I watch myself pretty good. Don't really want a performance problem that can be controlled so easily, now do we?

The wife and I went to our first club last weekend. We had a couple of drinks while there. Maybe to take the edge off with so much to take in. But thats enough. We want to enjoy ourselves and remember what happened.

While I enjoy mixing drinking and swinging, I've found over the years that I've had to cut back. Now it's a six pack spread across 4-5 hours at the club, as opposed to the 12 pack (or more) that it used to be. I just ain't as young as I used to be!

I drink hard stuff, so a few I can handle. Any more than a few, I am pretty sloshed. Mr. Indy rarely drinks, so he is always the driver.

Don't need anything to swing, sober or drunk its all the same to me in terms of comfort levels.

We do have a couple where the husband drinks a lot, and usually I am reight there along with him. I enjoy drinking enough to have a good time, but hate to be sloppy drunk (pretty sure I don't get that way often) The only downside is the hubby of that couple, although a fun drunk, has terrible performance issues and it becomes a real challenge past a certain point. YUCK! Alcohol has the opposite effect on me, however. The more I drink the more horny I am.

Personally, I have discovered that I LOVE sex way more than the drinking. If I drink more than one or two, I can't play as well as without. So, I usually have a drink after the sex play has ended.

And honestly, I really do not enjoy being with a woman who is really drunk. I would like her to remember me - not that I'm so special, but it would be nice for her to recognize me the next time we meet at a party or club.

Thanks for all the comments! I was really surprised when the couple told us we had nothing in common because they enjoy being "retarded drunk". What kind of person is proud of that? That is just not what we are interested in.
