False Advertising?

Have you ever arranged to meet a couple and had them show up to not be what they claimed in their ads? Whether it be that the couple turned out to be just a guy? OR that the pic was 12 years old and they had gained 200lbs between the two of them in the meantime? Or anything else?

Basically, have you ever encountered false advertising in a swinger ad?

So far everyone we have ever met off an ad site was exactly what they said they were...more times than not better in person as far as looks go...some people just don't photograph that well.

I know a LOT of folks that fudge the age in their profiles. Not me, I'm a 50 year old kid and Mrs Fun is a good deal behind (10 yrs).

Well, don't know if this counts or not, but one couple turned out to be former psychiciatric 'in house' care patients. This came out when they got into a battle over who stayed the longest the last time.

We never picked up on that in conversation or in their ad, but it was quite obvious they were rather proud of who had been in the longest.

And, No. They were not kidding around!

yes to both the age and the weight thing. Has happend with single women much much more than with couples.

Our very first couples experience turned out pretty poorly as only he was available. Funny thing was I'd talked to him 2 times that very day and he'd not mentioned anything about his wife being at "that time of the month"... *sigh* Such is life.

*forgot to mention--we later found out she was married...but not to him, but they reffered to themselves as husband and wife, but didn't give away the ...wife to someone else part.... unless it somehow came up.*

We have only had one bad experience (not counting all the times being stood up) with a couple who was not what they led us to believe.

We went to meet a coupleat a restauraunt and walked right by them. They were so totally different looking compared to their pictures that we thought they were of another couplehead bang
Needless to say it didn't turn out well when they told us it was them, but the pics were 9 years old

We ran into a couple that was married, but not to each other.......
Damn, does that sound like a country song or what? They were on Swing Lifestyle, but they didn't last long.

That does seem common with single females online from what a lot of single guys have told me. I've heard some horror stories about "pretty blond with big boobs" turning out to be 350lb woman.... well she didn't exactly lie... she just left off a little bit.

I've seen ads placed by a couple, and on the same ad site, one half of the couple advertising as a single. This I've seen from males and females. In 2 instances, it wasn't a single person with a 'ticket' to be able to advertise as a couple...these are real life couples who also advertise as being single.

I'm not sure I understand this. but I believe it's definitely false advertising. If the couple has a relationship that they can each meet others on their own as well as together, couldn't that be mentioned in the one ad?

Luckily, we've never experienced this scenario in a face-to-face meeting. However, we have been misled by a number of people online without ever having met them. Some liars are easy to spot.

I don't think there's a problem there as long as they are honest (in the single ads that they are married and palying with permission). By posting a seperate ad as a single it allows for more responses from those who may only view ads from singles.

In searching through profiles on two sites every day for the past three months, I have seen so many people either falsely define themselves, or leave vital information out (which is a red flag to me).

I see pictures that draw you into a profile, only to learn that it is very outdated and the person has changed considerably based on other pictures in the profile.

I look into a "couple profile," but there is no description of the wife, only the husband. She's no doubt long gone, or never existed.

I know some single/married men are hungry to make their way into a couples bedroom. This is why we require a phone conversation with all four of us on the phone before we meet. It is another step to help ensure that we won't find ourselves as a threesome, when we are expecting a foursome.

We may not have clicked once metting but they have always been who they said they were.

We did have false advertising once but we caught on before actualy meeting. This guy wasnt to bright.

He sent us pics of himself and said they were all recent and taken within 7 months of each other.

But one of the pics was taken from a portrait studio and had a date on the pic of 1996. This was just a few weeks ago.

RED FLAG!!!!!
