Do swinger websites really work for meeting others?

My girlfriend and I have been trying to hook up for weeks now using various and sundry website message boards. The only thing that has ever come of our effort has been solicitations for our credit card number. Do these websites ever really get anybody connected?

This particular site is designed primarily for sharing information.

but it does have a section for personal ads...

There have been reviews of various pay Ad sites like Swappernet and Swing Lifestyle and AdultFriend finders... which some people have found work for them...

I myself prefer the Off-premise clubs but hey... whatever works for you...

Welcome to the board. As Naughty A said, this particular site isn't really for hooking up, so you probably won't have any luck here. But check the link on the top menu for "personal ads" and you'll find some sites that we recommend for doing just that. All of the sites listed have a free membership option to let you test the waters so to speak without giving out a credit card #.

Even tho it's not why you came here, I hope you'll stick around and check things out here on this message board. There's a lot to learn and I'm sure you even have a few thoughts you might like to share about your experiences so far.

As far as finding boards to "hook up", Adultfriendfinder is pretty good for free. Free membership is very limited, but you can get connected with others in your area...

We've used Swappernet and have good results but that is a pay site. We've also used Lifestyle Encounters which is 100% free

"Free range male" is a reference to free range egg ranching wherein the chickens are allowed to roam free instead of in claustrophobic cages. So while I am not without a girlfriend, I am not bound by the restrictions of closed relationships. Did that make any sense?

That's cool, Hmmm. So basically what you have is more like an open relationship? All of these terms confuse the heck out of me.

I personally know of one couple that swing together and separately. They have been swinging for years and that is pretty much how they refer to it.

So far, we have had no luck meeting couples through ad sites, however, I'll admit that we haven't tried very hard to contact any ourselves. The ones who have contacted us? Well, let's just say they have all turned out to be less than up front about themselves.
