SLS profiles

We have been on SLS for a while but have just recently been serious about it. We still haven't posted pics but will be soon. I want to have fun with them and not just post generic side by side pics of us standing next to a tree or something. For me, Hustler type pics of women are a bit of a turn off (in profiles only) and what gets my attention are what looks like unplanned poses with a little sexy thrown in. In other words if a woman can look sexy without trying I'm betting she will be sexy as hell when she does try. I know what guys want to see from the lady but I'm not quite sure what you ladies like as far as the men go. There are rarely any pics of the guys for some reason and I'm wondering if it is because it is hard to take a complimentary pic of men. Many of the pics I do see are creepy, gay looking or downright obnoxious.

So what do you ladies want to see in profile pic? Skin, dressed nice, or his package? We are not about to post what's between the legs in a profile and face pics are out. Those would only be private. It seems many want to see private face pics right away and I'm not sure I like doing that. I own a couple of businesses with customers all over the place and if word got out it could be a disaster. I understand they are supposedly there for the same reasons we are but there are a lot of posers out there. Which brings me to a couple of other questions. In private pics is it common to have totally nude shots? I'm not sure we would be comfortable doing that in a profile, private or not. In the first couple of contacts, would being refused face or nude pics turn you away from further contact? I would rather find out if there is compatibility before showing either.

What I like to see is what shape folks are in. We have a very cropped public picture, and our private parts show some of my skin (grin) but none of our private pics show our goodies. Frankly, I know what a pussy and cock look like (heeheehee).

So if you want to take a pic with your shirt off, that's cool. If you want your shirt on, that's cool, too. We don't negotiate with face pics. However, that has been an issue. But one we're willing to live with.

We have pics of both of us on SLS, same name as here. Our together pics were taken while hanging out with friends/family.

For me, I just like to see that they have actually posted a picture of the male half of the couple. So many profiles out there have only pics of the female half...and that is one of my pet peeves. To me (and get the flamethrow ready! ), it's like pimping your SO out. I like to dress up, I like to take pictures, and I don't want to knock anyone for that...but there are 2 of you that are going to be playing...let us see both of you! Look, I will win no beauty contests...but I'm not going to hide either...

I agree that some of the shots seem cheesy...but one couple that we met with had a few of him laying across the bed (with and without underoos I think), some nice face shots and others of just casual things (kicked back relaxing on a bench, ect)....those were great pics to see. I agree with the other reply...we all already know what the boy and girl parts look like....just show some nice pics that you like of yourself.

I agree. My interest in seeing the male half is for Lovinhim. When I don't see a male pic my first thought is...why? Is the guy that unattractive that they are afraid to post his pic? If I'm going to contact somebody, or put us out there I want them to be interested in me also, not just my wife. Otherwise it is a waste of time. We would not meet up with somebody without pics of both.

I'm hoping though that this doesn't turn into a "why no male pics" discussion. I would like to hear from some of the woman out there as to what they like in profile pics of the men.

Sorry didn't mean to take it in the other direction....but I did list a few things that are nice in the pictures....natural looking pics....if you are doing something you like the smiles and expressions are just more natural, and for you it may not seem so staged...random example: if you like to fish, have lovinhim snap some pics of you doing that? or put on your favorite shirt or outfit, something you like and are comfy in and know you look great in (something in your favorite color perhaps?)....I just like to see people if that makes sense? So many of the profiles that do have pics of the guys just have their naughty bits pictured....I mean, we'll get around to that. facelick Let me see the rest of the person it's attached to.

Pictures on sls, we have a bit out there on sls. In the non private section we show picture of our bodies clothed and some not so clothed, but no face shot that are clear. Now in our private section yeah we have all sorts of pictures from nudes to face shots and what not. We are not looking for the glamour shot, but we do want to see what you look like. Body, face and what not. We ask that you show or most current pictures. That is one thing about our profile on sls is that we change the pictures quite often to let people know what we look like. We date stamp them so you can tell when the picture was taken. Yes, too many time you only see the wife in the sls profiles. So we ask for pictures of the male half. The bad thing we have run across is their profile says one thing the picture look like one thing and when you meet them they are totaly different. Where the couple had put on allot of weight, but fail to update their pictures. We take photo's, but do like seeing the nature picture outside enjoying life. Don't get me wrong I would rather see any picture then non so we could make choice...lol Just us..

P.S. yes, we know or hope to know you have a penis or vagina. So we really don't really care to see them, just hope they work...lol

Lovinher, since you two are a couple looking for…um…whatever you are looking for, your motivations and expectations are likely different from mine. Regardless, here are some suggestions.

Search SLS – or other sites – and find profiles that appeal to BOTH of you. Look at the pictures and evaluate the text. Some things you will like and some Lovinhim will like. Select what you two agree on – both pictures and words – and use that information for how you present yourselves to others on SLS. Your profile might be lengthy and overly-descriptive or it might be short and sharp. Regardless, look at what others have done and design your profile for what fits you two. And if you see some clever photos on other’s profiles, don’t be afraid to try to replicate them or tweak them to suit your own interests and strengths/weaknesses.

Pics of the two of you with faces blanked out should be perfectly acceptable for open photos, but try to use pics that are relaxed and indicative of the lifestyle (aside from THE lifestyle) you two lead. Photos of you two at a party, at a family gathering, enjoying yourselves at your pastimes, etc., will most likely be more interesting to prospective playmates than overly-posed photos.

Take a look at this thread: Couples Profile Reviews . On this thread folks on the board evaluate the profiles of other SLS members. You might find some good advice on the thread and once you design an SLS profile you could have it critiqued here, too.

And you should take this advice with a bushel of salt, of course. I haven’t established MY SLS profile yet.

We look at a few things on sls. Our profile is lost_j1 you can check it out if you want, and if you are paid I can open our private pics as well for you. In regards to pictures, we look at numerous things. Me as a woman, I'm looking for face pics number one to see if there is an attraction there, and then body pics would be nice as well. Pretty much the same with the lady. We LOVE pics that catch our eye, like pretty or brightly colored lingerie. And be inventive! We come up with all kinds of stuff LOL. Have fun with the camera. Regarding the text. Tell the readers something about yourselves. We keep ours humorous but at the same time getting our point across.
