has anyone else noticed that some personal ads are very angry and selfish sounding.I hate to see those couples post seriously selfish requests and get upset when no one responds. :rollseyes .I thought this to be a newbie mistake until I came across a few that claim to be experienced

You occasionally come across one, but we just let it go and don't let it bother us. We have a real "live and let live" attitude, and I'm sure someone with just as angry a profile will find them in swinging bliss.

I tend to laugh at the people that need to yell in all caps about their demands. I don't think many of them realize how it sounds, and at times it is hard not to be bitter because of all of the fakers, freaks and no-shows. So, while I can understand it, we don't write to those people either.

I chuckle when I see NO SINGLE MALES! NO SINGLE MALES! NO SINGLE MALES! I get the idea, but I know it's not going to deter a hardcore group of SINGLE MALES! out there.

I remember one ad for a couple in which the woman claimed that although she was very overweight she was incredibly sexy. For me the most memorable line of the ad was: "I'm a BBW! Get over it!" (Could be a few issues there...

)

There are so so so many good examples of negative/selfish profiles - but here is one of our personal favorites:

It tells us exactly where they are comming from, and what kind of people they are. Sure they might be assholes but you KNOW they are assholes, all doubt has been removed.

If only everyone was so honest in their profiles it would save us hours and hours of time.

I'm not seeing the negativity in that profile either. I thought it rather amusing and if a profile makes either one of us laugh or smile, it's a good day. It's no easy for a sense of humor to transcend from the written word to reading.

I have to say I DO share that in common. I saw a guy in a thong on our last vacation, and I'm sorry but thongs just do NOT work on the male body.

Exactly! As with alot of overtly negative profiles, we get a sense that these people have updated their profile over time - probably in response to a whole series of very disappointing encounters. They were probably angry at somebody or something each time they wrote, and they now portray themselves as selfish and mean spirited people. Furthermore, they won't respond to any of our our e-mail invitations... head bang
