(I tried putting this on another forum with all the other polls, but I kept getting an error saying I didn't have authorization to post in that area.....???? anyway, here goes ... sorry if the whole thing seems self-serving and self-absorbed, but I really respect all you guys' opinions! )


The pics on our Swing Lifestyle profile (username: sxydalcpl05) are fairly recent ... taken in June of this year. We haven't changed much, I can assure you. lol

I, personally, don't think we are half bad, but we don't get many responses to our ad, and hubby thinks the reason is because our pics include several of him wearing his hat. Now I LOVE a man in a cowboy hat ... it's very sexy to me. And I appreciate that not everyone shares this affection. Hubby wants to take new pics, and that's fine, we just need to carve out the time to do so. But he definitely insists that the new ones be with him sans cowboy hat.

But in the meantime, I would like to hear from those of you on this board as to what you personal opinions are on this subject ... especially you women.

1 thing i am noticing about your pics that might affect responses is when i try to look at them in the larger center box they aren't clear and i can't see your features clearly. Nuthin at all wrong with the hat though.

I would recommend using a higher meg camera but don't see anything wrong with the hat. Assuming that you are seeking couples in your area I would guess that anyone that responds would be familiar with guys and gals wearing cowboy hats.

Hubby and I are going out tonight, so I have just a brief moment to make one comment ... our pics are fuzzy and blurry because when we uploaded them onto Swing Lifestyle that's the way that they turned out. We have tried to get Swing Lifestyle to retouch them, but they haven't had any success.

Another reason why we intend to post new pics soon.

Change them to a jpeg or gif format before you upload them if they are in bmp format now. Sometimes that will make a difference. Also, are they cropped photos? That can make them more grainy sometimes.

Dito It makes sense since you are in Texas. Plus, you have pics of him with and without the hat so other than what everyone else said about the pics being fuzzy I don't see a problem with a pic or two with the hat.

Personally, I like the HAT and I think it shows a lot of your personality.

MY vote is keep things the way they are, just fix the quality of the pictures.

Try adjusting the resolution and size in your photo editing software.

Most of the sites require you to make the pictures a certain size, and I can tell you from experience, that if they are the wrong size, when they are uploaded and resized by the site, they will be blurry most of the time.

Hey if saw your picture that is in your profile I wouldn't think hick at all. I think it looks good. I can't add to what the others have said about formatting as they have covered it all

No, I don't think you look like hicks at all. As others have said, fix the fuzzies instead. I'll admit that any time we see really fuzzy pics, we move on because we assume that they're fuzzy because the people don't really want you to see what they look like.

I LOVE getting the feedback, and appreciate your comments no matter your opinion. You all probably know me well enough to know by now that I absolutely do not have any issue whatsoever with constructive criticism. I totally appreciate it, even if your views are not totally in sync with my own ... that's why I ask. I really enjoy different opinion, viewpoints and perspective.

That said, I also want to state that I did take some of your advice and "softened" the wording of my profile. I was told via private contact that it seemed kind of harsh and unapproachable as well as a little too wordy and repititious. I hope I have adequately addressed this problem. If not, please let me know!

Insofar as our pics are concerned ... without a doubt we need to take more. I will discard the OU backdrop (wasn't our plan, just happened to be on an available wall ... our son is the fan, not us), take a few pics with the hat and a few without, and make sure they are clear. I am thinking I will also "rob" from the Spoomonkeys and Curiousagain's picture styles and do "headless" photos, making all our face pics private. (My brevity is decreasing, Cat. )We do not indulge in provocative photos generally speaking, but I might add a few since we will have private pics.

I will, however, leave my "no cheaters allowed" statement in all caps, though someone suggested that I remove the all caps wording from my profile. The reason it will remain is that this is a very sore spot for me, and I want to make sure that the statement is appropriately eye-catching so there is no margin for error. Before I put that statement in, we got several emails from men who were cheating, and since I put it in have had none.

Again, thanks to all of you for your votes and your comments. And please, feel free to address the issue here on the board ... I absolutely do not mind your comments being public and in some cases, it might actually help because others can make comments on YOUR comments which I can definitely learn from. If you feel more comfortable private messaging or emailing me on Swing Lifestyle, that's fine too. Just wanted everyone to know that I am completely open to your comments being public.

brevity works... I think our profile is a little wordy right now... but I didn't write it... Mr B did as we are focusing more on his photo erotica than finding new playmates ( the freinds we have made are wonderful and we are enjoying expanding those relationships now)

I admit I think of our profiles as "swing resumes"

I am good at resumes...lol. I always try and give people and idea of what we have to offer as well as our list of wants... that and most people NEVER take the time to read the entire thing... especially large blocks of text.

If we have something we really want to highlight... I set it into its own paragraph. I also try not to tell everyone everything about us in one document.

Discovering those things is part of the flirting process and can tell you allot more about a potential partner than you will find out "if" you arm them with all the pertinate information.

In so far as cheaters go... we have found it doesn't matter how big you make the caps how often you state it... there are those that just assume... it doesn't apply to them.

After all they are willing to cheat in the first place, which means lying and betraying the ones they "love" How can we reasonably exspect them to honor our "request"?

you just have to learn to weed them out.

The other forum in question, isn't for Polls, per se - they are allowed everywhere. The forum you mentioned is the "Top 100 Threads" forum, which is for just that Hot Threads, long running polls and the like. New threads are not allowed there, old threads are moved there.
