I haven't read the other replies so forgive me if this has already been covered. Sounds like drama to me. If you love drama and the rollercoaster ride it brings then keep fretting over it and keep trying to get together with them and see what you can get out of the deal. I'm sure it will get even more dramatic as time goes on.

Otherwise keep in mind there are tons of nice, legitimate couples out there that will tell you to your face what they want to accomplish and then they will follow through with it so why not spend some time and energy on them.

These two are playing games of some sort and you are the ones sweating over it.
