The zero population growth movement hasn't seemed to last in the U.S. as a policy or goal, but swinging seems much more wide spread than 40 years ago. Some of this may be due to the internet enhancing the ability to communicate with other like-minded people, this board being a prime example. Whether the predictions in article "come true" will depend on what kind of traction swinging gets vs. the strength of the inevitable push-back which will come if swinging get too widespread or accepted.
