News isn't news. It's an entertainment venue intended to draw people in, to make sales, to increase circulation. The more they can draw people in with racy headlines, the better it is for their bottom line. Very few news outlets have actual journalistic integrity these days (not that much more existed in the past).

Well... the Brits always told me one couldn't believe that which is printed in The Sun. It's a couple of notches below The Inquirer. "Inquiring minds will buy trashy newspapers."
