Nudist Beach Going to the Swingers

Hmmm... reminds me of what's happening on our local nude beach. It's private property, the owners aren't even nudists, but so far they have been quite gracious in letting people use it. However, there are some extremists in the local swinger community who think that this beach, where people bring their children,is not just a nude beach but a sex beach, and have been known to indulge in full view of others. In fact, I just posted in a thread on an Ontario website which was started by someone encouraging people to come on a "sex road trip" to the beach. If they want to lose the privilege of using this private beach, they are going about it the right way.

It's the old nudist vs swinger thing: some swingers just don't get that there IS a difference.

Now I'm curious. I've spent a fair bit of time on some beaches on the north shore of Lake Erie. I wonder if I was missing something and didn't know it

PB&J, you story reminds of something my father taught me. He, several uncles and a couple aunts as well as several grand this and that, were veterans of war.

When I was pretty young there was a story on the television about flag burning, showing people on the capital steps burning U.S. flags. My father just shook his head and said nothing. I asked him what he thought. He was said he was "disgusted", and hated what he saw.

I asked him what he thought should be done about it. His reply was "nothing, they have the right to do it." I was amazed at his reply and he could tell. So he explained to me that he and others shed blood, bled and died for everyone's freedom, not just the ones he agreed with. He had seen up close what damage extremist could do and had no taste to try and force his view on others.

He added that just because you have the right, doesn't make it right, and that the flag burners needed to understand the pain they caused those that fought and lost friends under that flag. His final point was that those that wanted to ban them from doing it where just as wrong.

I see in your story exactly what my father was saying. The extremist on one side want to ban anything having to do with sex. Extremist on the other end are taking advantage of the generosity of the land owner and pushing the envelop, because "it is their right", without concern for others. I think when extremist on either side win, we all lose.
