Charge: Woman raped after beating, kidnapping by lover


This is what happens when you have an "open relationship" with jealousy involved.

A Tacoma man is in King County jail on allegations that he kidnapped his long-term girlfriend from her Tukwila home after beating her and forcing her to crawl around the house.

King County prosecutors contend Kimball G. Karlson-Martini, 29, attacked the woman -- his partner of six years with whom he was in an open relationship -- after she was with another man at a swingers club.

Well, we all know, the lifestyle draws all types, this guy seems to be building a harem/dungeon full of women

thats not saying that he belonged in the lifestyle esp since he has more than a few mis match parts upstairs

This goes WAY beyond open relationship and jealousy. Jealousy is a normal human emotion, this guy is s nut job.

And of course their is the swinger bashing, I guess it is to be expected, since nothing like this could possibly occur in a non-swinger environment.

I find the swinger bashing to be interesting as well...

It's a clear cut case of an asshole beating a woman...there's NO EXCUSE for beating a woman...if she truly did cheat then leave her...but beating her is for a complete pussy...it makes me ill and VERY angry.

No one should give this complete pansy an out...he beat up someone who's half his strength...what an asshole.

As far as the reader comment...people should not comment on things they know nothing about...I can't and will not comment on his or her relationship...he or she should keep their comments to themselves until they have the facts.

I know the people involved in this news story. No I have not played with either of them, but I do attend the same club they do, and was invited into "his" home for "training".....
With that said, let me say that there is more to the story than is in the news.

On the other hand, it is really sad that they make it about the lifestyle, rather than about the fact that this man was out of control and is an asshole.

Yes this can happen anywhere, to anyone, they do NOT have to be in the lifestyle. The sad part is that when you think outside of the box (which is what the lifestyle is) then you are a target....

I'm sure it wasn't your intent, but this comes across as relief that the BDSM lifestyle was the problem, rather than the swinging lifestyle.

As Polybug said, this guy is an asshole. THAT is the problem.

As swingers, we've all been witness to all sorts of discriminatory, uninformed hatred. I'm not into BDSM, but I'm sure that subculture, like ours, suffers from similar misinformed, discriminatory hatred. Let's just skip the hatred, and call a spade a spade. Regardless of whatever subcultures this perp is into, what he did is by itself 1000000 times enough to cast derision upon him. We don't need to associate any lifestyle with him to make that clear.
