After reading the comments from many of the "locals" in that town they have a lot more to worry about then a swingers club coming to town.

1 a.m and they are fighting with each other like little children, totally off the subject matter.

I have a feeling there will be enough good church going people at the zoning meeting to put a stop to this club. They Swingers will not come out in force to support it at a public meeting.

If you can't open it honestly then you should not be opening.

He is down for the count now. Lied to the city and to his landlord.

If I was his landlord I would demand a big, very big deposit. Have the right to come in and inspect at any time with no notice. If I found someone having sex in there they close and forfeit the deposit.

That is the problem with many that try to open places. They lie all the way down the line and wonder why it blows up in their face.

Hate to see people like this involved in the Lifestyle. Gives everyone a worse name then we already have.

I live in the next town over from Emmaus. I drove by the proposed location on Monday (June 21st) not even aware this was going on.

Obviously as a swinger I have no issue with private clubs. In fact the idea of one less than 15min from the house is awesome. That being said I don't know what they were thinking with setting one up on main street Emmaus. Ignoring what I think wouldn't be the best parking situation for a club of any significant membership, You're setting up on the main drag of a clean cut, white bread, old fashioned, named after a city in the bible, town, and right across the street from a church no less. It's asking for trouble.

Even if there had been no website at all saying what was going on in said club, its only a matter of time till it gets out and the church ladies, concerned parents, and business owners on Main St. would have picketed to shut the place down.

In short he was courting trouble from the very beginning.

Normal, run of the mill "arguments" against a swinger club; it'll attract crime, be bad for kids, there'll be an explosion of noise, cars will be parked thither and yon, etc. yawn.

Has ANYone seen a study connecting an increase in crime with the presence of a swinger club? How about a study connecting an increase in noise with the presence of a swinger club? Parking problems? Children getting molested or having their moral fiber destroyed?

My wife and I have been to three swinger clubs in two states. That's anecdotal experience, I know, but none of them were even a fraction as noisy as a typical nightclub is, when heard from the street. None of them had people parking off of the club's property (always ample parking). Etc...etc..

All of these junk claims are baseless, as we all know. It's like the Westboro Baptists live everywhere.

A man who was denied a permit to open a swingers club said he won't be trying his luck anywhere else.
The Vault Social Club was trying to move into the site of an old restaurant on Main Street in Emmaus, Lehigh County.
But residents and zoning officials denied David Mayi of Monroe County the permits he needed to come to town.
Mayi told 69 News he is now moving on to other projects.
