'Swingers' Group at Odds with City of Stevens Point Over Scheduled Hotel Party

An adult group that says they're dedicated to the 'swing lifestyle' says they plan to hold a private hotel party in Stevens Point, despite threats from the City to impose fines and shut the hotel down.

This can be fought and won if he has enough money to do it. Have seen it and done it in the past.

Same type of Laws.

Robert from Lifestyles took on the State of California when they used the same type laws on a hotel in Ca. Took many years, lots of money but it can be done.

Problem is most don't have the type of money it takes or the staying power.

They can stop the party and the court case can go on for years.

There are a couple of interesting things I noticed about this article. The law in question has nothing to do with "decency" - has more to do with the party's proximity to a place licensed to sell liquor. So, I guess they don't care what you do, as long as you're not within crawling distance to booze.
Also, most of the comments are along the lines of - They're adults, leave them alone. Of course, there are bible-thumpers that are deeply disturbed at the fact that these people breathe the same air as they do. But, it's nice to see that most of the comments are somewhat supportive.

I am in Wisconisn and Get to Stevens Point weekly, the Royal Inn is very stupid, they were a dingy dumpy hotel untill they were purchased and redone. They need the business badly. The government of Stevens Point are not doing the City any good, if they had said nothing they would have reaped all the benefits of a huge group without many ppl in the city knowing about it. I hope the group continues and hosts the group and just does not do it as an organized group. Lets see the City try to arrest 400 naked swingers in a hotel.

At this point its not about serving the swinger community or even making honest money.
This is where he is just having a pissing contest with the Chief of police on a personal level.
We would not risk going at this point, MY money is staying in my pocket or spent elsewhere.

All he really had to do is advertise stricter discretion and show the council that this would be (good people, money spending swingers, who can keep it cool.) What goes on behind a hotel room door, should stay there at a hotel takeover. The one's we attended and would again this Valentines day, DO.... No problems with the local laws.....Every ones happy and have been, for years...

We wouldn't be splashed by a pissing contest, or risk going to Jail on Valentines over it.

Its not just my 02 cents, We usually drop a couple hundred easy.....
