New Swingers Club Raising Questions - :: Cincinnati news story :: LOCAL 12 WKRC-TV in Cincinnati

" The Cobra Club in New Richmond is advertising itself as "Sincinnati's" newest bisexual and gay-friendly social club, where for the price of admission, you can pick up a new sex partner. "Cincinnati" in this case, by the way, is being spelled s-i-n in the advertising."

This part really harshes my mellow........

Like wearing a mask or something ?

I don't like this kind of journalism

Pretty much the usual - the town is just your "normal" town with apple pie and all of that, and now the swingers are going to show up and ruin it all. Bet some won't have far to drive, but I'm guessing they'll park around back

Kind of a strange piece - you don't usually see a hard news story where the reporter slips into first person like at the end "I found that investigators with the Clermont County Auditors Office, as well as the State Department of Taxation are looking into exactly those issues.

I found it odd that it is described as a bi-sexual and gay friendly social club and all the sudden it has been turned into a swingers club. I read this in my local news because I am in Ohio and it took me a day and then it clicked with me. Why is it that they jumped from bi-sexual and gay friendly to a swingers club?

I am curious to know if this is really going to be a swingers club or if it is a club for bi-sexuals and gay's to go to like many other clubs that they have in the Cincinnati area.

I am also wondering why it is that the taxation department is getting involved? Like MrVan said when we discussed the article is that give the business a chance to file taxes before you go in to do investigating.

Will be interesting to see what happens with this one!

The media coverage of this seems rather fair, although TV stations usually wait until the second week of the November Sweeps to run their "swingers in our midst" story. Didn't see any outrage in the TV piece (only comments were positive from the frame lady) and the poll on the newspaper site is overwhelmingly pro-live and let live.
