Sounds like the beginning of a joke.... but that's just a small part of how bizzare this story is...

When I read the first couple of paragraphs I thought this was maybe a "Dear Playboy Adviser" letter. An exotic dancer at a club named Porky's? Really? But it seems that it's frighteningly real. That bishop must be tearing his hair out and regretting the day he entered the seminary.

There must be something in the sacramental wine at this St. Francis de Sales parish church that's affecting behaviour. I remember seeing Father David's buddy, Father Alberto Cutie, on Oprah. Father Alberto was full of all kinds of excuses and rationalizations. But it looks like Father Alberto can't hold a candle (pun intended) to Father David.

And excising demons by going to a swinger club? Wow. Of course, yet again swinging gets a black eye from criminals and an all-too-willing media.

Very interesting article.

When I was reading this article, my first thought was, "What happened to his vow of poverty" when he was spending $1800 on her in the VIP room?

Personally, the affair doesn't surprise me.
