| Swingers, Part One -The Daily Californian I'm amazed by their normalcy and their utter awesomeness. A far cry from my white trash imagination, John and Kiki are, quite simply put, a "cool couple." |

| It was hard for me to imagine how a couple could survive something as counterintuitive as partner swapping. I mean, seriously. Watching your loved one touch, kiss, stroke and suck a body that isn't yours? By all evolutionary or cultural accounts, that seems to clash with our impulses. I can understand the appeal of swinging for an old married couple whose sex life has shriveled along with their skin. But John and Kiki are young with no wrinkles in sight! I think that the curent set of twenty-some and thirty-some people are going to mold swinging into something of their own making. That change is good and quite natural. Thanks for finding this article and bringing it to our attention. |

I am curious what you mean here about the different agenda of the younger swingers vs. what you might be used to. Could you expand on that?

I believe they, as a group, enjoyed more FWB situations prior to marriage, which seems to indicate that swinging is less of a big deal for them. Now, these thoughts are entirely based on what I've seen in just a few different clubs in one area of the country, so YMMV.

I am very happy to read a good story about the LS for once. I too have noticed the ladies of the LS are more open to the FF activities and in some cases, do not actually swing but play with the ladies and only have sex with their own partner. It may be the age thing here and the desire to please her partner or excite them however she can. Who knows? It is just an observation. Can’t wait for Monday!

Mrs. WC here Very interesting series. I've never seen Eyes Wide Shut (can't stand Tom Cruise) but it sounds to me like that movie didn't do very good things for the lifestyle. (Correct me if I'm wrong, please) I used to think the lifestyle would never be for me (I'm still not sure) but I've prided myself on having an open mind and accepting that while what other people find pleasurable may not appeal to me, it's their life and they should do what they enjoy. But so many people get caught up in "This is wrong" that they can't just not do the thing themselves, they have to push their feelings and beliefs on other people. "Ohmigosh, you're into swinging?! That's horrible! I always thought you were so normal! Swinging is wrong, is sinful, is cheating, etc." And yet, what do you want to bet it's a case of the pot calling the kettle black? They try to shame you for enjoying yourself when they really would like to try it themselves but their so-called morality won't let them. As I said at the beginning, this is a very interesting series of articles, well-written and informative for those of us who haven't actually "taken the plunge", so to speak. Kudos to the author and to two4you for finding & posting it. Mrs. WC |
