One woman, who now has full-blown AIDS, testified Thursday that Padieu often visited local swingers clubs, and said he may have infected more than 20 other women.

Scary stuff.

One of the comments is "they all got what they deserve". Wow...

You can't run around and knowingly put people's lives in danger...it's reckless, stupid and criminal. It's like driving drunk...there's a chance nobody will get hurt...but the chance is greatly increased and is the responsibility of the impaired to make the proper choice. I, as another driver on the road, cannot be held responsible for the drunk driver.

It seems, in this case, the women didn't know that the male was infected with HIV. The responsibility falls squarely on the shoulders of the infected man and he should be treated as a drunk driver would be when caught.

Yikes! I wonder what those people would say if their daughter came home infected -- I can't imagine they'd say, "Serves you right for not using a condom, you deserve it!" They'd probably want to cut the guy's dick off themselves!

If this or any man / woman sleeps with anyone knowing that he / she has HIV..

I say take them out back and put them down like the dog they are.

ok if he/she knowingly has sex and passes HIV on. don't quote me .. but in some states, that just the same as premeditated murder..

I'm not sure, but I seem to recall at least a couple of cases where a person was tried for murder for precisely this.

Murder? Seems a bit over the top. AIDS is hardly a death sentence these days with the drugs available to us in a 1st world country. Is it heinous and should they be put away, possibly for life? Yeah. But it's not the same as taking an axe to somebody's skull.

That said, if somebody knowingly gave me or my wife HIV there would probably be some murder involved after the fact. Double standard? Maybe so.

Its attempted murder and it becomes murder if one of your victims dies. Being its a life long debilitating disease they should also be sued for damages.

trial? did i say there was going to be a trial? If myself or my SO gets HIV from someone knowingly spreading this.. trial? what trial. oh that's right. trial by smith & wesson.

When it comes to this, I'M sorry,, but there is no one that should say . ( well I GOT IT SO ) every one is going to get it.. and from reading the OP that's what i see.. I could be wrong..

Trial results in conviction -WFAA

Three women told the jury about their relationships with Philippe Padieu. Two testified that they believe Padieu infected them with HIV. Both of them now suffer from full-blown AIDS.
A third woman who said she dated Padieu 12 years ago in Michigan told the jury that he took her to a swingers' party and got angry with her when she wanted to leave — grabbing her in a violent and forceful way.
