Avant-Garde Retreat? -Time

Though there is little likelihood that things will ever go back to where they were 30 years ago, the signs are that the sexual avant-garde—those who practice "swinging," group sex, open marriage, bisexuality and the odder forms of experiment—is in decline.
Penthouse Executive Editor Jim Goode says that swinging "has died a natural death."

Interesting article about the decline of hedonism and alternative lifestyles.

Oh, BTW, the article was published in 1974.

Ya had me going there for a minute. Until I clicked on the hyperlink and read the (1974) article. Seems there is little likelyhood that thing will be back to where they were thirty years ago, thirty years ago (do I know what I am saying here?).

Thirty years ago.... the great old days!

Swinging was about sex....your name? not required, I am not calling you in the morning.

No Internet ghosts and trolls. People showed up, got naked and did what came natural to them at the time. Little to no drama. The drama queens never got invited back or told where the next party was.

Bands, DJ's, dancing.... not even part of the scene.

Ok, times have changed and it will never return to what it was.

We have to live with it or get out. Only two choices left.

You're right never will it be like it was when I first stared the my first wife in '76. I was in the army stationed at Yuma Proving Grounds. The swinging couples hug out at a little night club in town. I remember doing my 1st Sgt wife the first night we were there. Wow, no strings attached, like said above, get naked and get to work. There was no HWP or "must be fit to swing".

Gawd, I miss the good old days
