This is a documentary of a different sort.

Morgan Dewes inherited a lifetime of Super8 home films from his grandmother in 2001. He also received some audio recordings from an uncle.

The mom looks like a pent up, post war, housewife while dad comes off like your basic 50s bow-tied nerd. Strictly “L7.” In actuality, the overbearing dweeb was quite the swinger. Spending four months of the year away from the family’s Connecticut home on business, Charley encouraged Allis to partake in an open relationship. He figured what happens in Australia stays in Australia, and while he was gone down under it was only fair that someone else go down on Allis.

Some other reviews I found indicated that they shared their experiences with each other.

An open marriage in the 50's.
