Once upon a time, the term “cuckold” was used in adult swingers’ circles to describe the monogamous and sometimes submissive husband of a wife with multiple sexual partners. Today, it’s as likely to refer to a more active type of husband, one who recruits those male partners – often black – for his spouse.

It’s the latter definition that is at the heart of The Cuckold, a $150,000 independent drama made this summer in Buffalo by a part-time plumber and a full-time healthcare executive. He - Jonathan Corban Butler - wrote and directed it, while she - Dr. Cynthia Ambres - produced.

That might be an interesting flick. Looks like they are seeking a distributor at this time.

I'm thinking it's not going to show up at my local cineplex, so I'll keep an eye out for the DVD.
