Probably the biggest lie presented is the "Needles and Condom Boxes" found by the neighbor across the street. If you have a property that is not lived in 5 days a week, it would make the neighborhood nervous. If you are there every day, cleaning up and putting normal operations of residence, you begin to grow some affinity with the neighbors. Penna is home to many (most) of the successful clubs, due to most owners taking the time to be part of the community. One club I went to was the largest contributor to the local Fire department by hosting their "Las Vegas Night" every year. And their Toys for Tots campaign was the most successful in the County. (Swingers are generous with money too.) Once you get the local neighbors settled in, and keep things that way, you succeed. Arguing with the neighbors only brings trouble. |

| Quote: Neither JoAnn nor I have ever been there. We were invited by an on-line contact. We asked some of our trusted lifestyle friends. Basic story, just another place where the music is played at a sound level just slightly fewer decibels than a 747 at take-off. We have been avoiding such places lately. The story is interesting. We both read the Pittsburgh Post Gazette every morning and somehow missed it. Thanks for posting. ~Michael | |

| And you see, that really is the key. If they take the time out to make themselves an assets to the community, something the vanilla neighborhood would be willing to consider their "little secret" because of the positives you bring to the area, you'll do okay. Maybe you won't be "accepted", but you'll be tolerated. Kind of hard for them to begrudge you when the income from your parties bought the local Fire Department a new pump truck (Hah! Wouldn't that be ironic?) But if you decided to battle with the neighbors, you'll lose, one way or another. |

(*laughing*) ... okay - who else was thinking the fire-station's new pump-truck, sponsored by the local swinger's club would be rather cool!?

If the good rev says it's a church it must be A set fee would be better than checking payment slips to ensure correct contribution At least he was ordained from the deluxe kit Amazing that after all those years the fella across the road had garbage Seems odd |

Ok, read both articles and the posts thus far.. Like has been commented on.. the needles and condoms found worries me, the second article they find condoms and tissues? I dunno.. As far as calling fees a donation.. happens all the time, hell the place in Deland Fl, calls them donations, but you aint getting in with out paying.. Being part of the community you live in , providing for donations to all sorts of civil or civic organisations is just part of doing business.. Now, lets get to the heart of the matter.. Calling it a church.. thats where it becomes interesting.. Sure the jokes posted are funny, BUT, if as THRAX suggests, the owners are indeed running the club, and calling it a church.. then doesn that sort of fall into a non profit.. regardless of what denomanation? I have two takes, the first being, if I was founding a religon, and including SEX or the lifestyle, then I would have to be prepared for all sorts of problems.. BUT, would also be ready to DEFEND it, on principle and based on the CONSTITUTION The second, I would worry, considering the various things that have come before.. of being called a CULT.. remember David Coresh, or Jim Jones.. Plenty will line up to BASH over that. Please , if any more comes out of this, would love to hear about it |

A club in our area is created as a "Hedonistic Church" and only accepts donations being a non-profit. Of course everyone donates every time they visit to help cover the overhead of the leased space. The couple that runs it consulted an attorney prior to forming the Church and is in full compliance with the code of the area and the landlord of the space they lease is fully in the know of what it is. It's worked okay for them for over a year now. The irony? Directly across the street is a bible-thumping, fire-and-brimstone church that also holds services on Friday nights. So they are leaving just as we are showing-up. Mr. WS |
