Southern Tier Church Wants to Expand Next to a Swingers Club (NY)

The church is being the jerk in this instance, IMO. The swingers club was there first, has been there for years, I believe. The church knows good and well this club is there and does still hold private parties there (it isn't currently running as in a true capacity) and yet the church will close on a nearby property, and wants the city to shut down the club or make it move and they are praying for its demise.

Out of all the potential property out there in this down market, the church elders HAD to buy one right by a swing club and then complains about it. Go figure.

Maybe that is precisely why they bought that property? 'People need to know what goes on in their community! We need to expose those swingers!'

I plead the fifth on this as I tend to have as strong a belief about church as they do about swingers.
Does seem a bit suspicious though.

A church tried that trick here in the Dallas area on a "gentlemen's club" and found out that grandfathering actually worked here.
