Afraid I may like it?

After months of talking and flirting with the idea my wife asked me to take to a Swinger Bar. Her biggest concern is if we continue down that road that She Might Like It? She has repeated this comment several times during our steamy sexual encounters. Can't really understand how she is truly feeling? I explained to her that there are a lot of things n life that we love to do but due to time constraints or financial reasons we don't indulge in them on a daily basis. Also, looking for any suggestions for a location in Los Angeles, San Bernadino or Orange County location? Preferably a bar where the non vanilla crowd may hang out on specific nights? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

As far as finding a bar that swingers "might" be at ? Why not join some groups in your area that have reputable swingers for sure ?

We've seen over the years, many misunderstood signals in bars that have "potential swingers". Made a few wrong guesses ourselves....

I see you have been a member here for a few years. Welcome to the world of active forum participation here at The Swingersboard and I hope you stick around for more. Fun4Ds' advice is the same I would give. Swinger bars do not exist, as such. But many people of the lifestyle organize meet-n-greet event at various venues some of which are bars. Check the personals sites.

Why is it a concern that your wife might like it? Personally, when we got into this, I was strongly hoping my wife would enjoy it very much. I wouldn't want her to have sex with someone else and NOT enjoy it.

If she does like it, and you do as well, how often you do it will be dictated by lots of factors, in very much the same way that any hobby sort of activity is affected.

I'm thinking she's really, really into this... maybe more than you realize. And she maybe is trying to prepare you for it.

Or... she's got some guilt tucked away inside from years of monogamous programming that she's ready to jettison.

swinging is something that should be enjoyable for both people. If you BOTH decide you want to try it and you like it... GREAT! You have a new hobby/ fantasy /etc. No, it won't be something you do every weekend. For some it's like a great vacation, something they only do once a year (and some only do it on vacation). For others it's a monthly night out like going to the movies. But, as with anything you enjoy you have to balance it. Just as you don't go out and play golf every single day (unless you are a golf pro) no matter how much you enjoy it. Doing it every day gets in the way of real life (jobs, family, etc). It's just another fun hobby or form of recreation.

I believe Julie and Dont Stop pretty much nailed it. I'm taking this really slow. I'm feeling she is still leaning towards "Fantasy" when engaging in conversation and its usually during steamy sex play. And She won't give me a clear answer when I ask her what she truly means when she says " I'm afraid I may like it"
